What's with the camera and the game feeling like it pulls to the left all the time? Is there a fix or just shitty design? Story and all seems awesome. The camera and awkward controls are annoying though. I mean, why the hell can't you run straight? Odd.

just finished act3...only one crash so far shortly after the beginning
runs pretty smooth with everything maxed + 4xaa@1920x1080 on my phenomII x4 955 +hd6950@6970bios
mouse control could be better but with this console autoaim "feature" its pretty hard to miss ^^
but one thing really bothered me...i just cant seem to run in a straight line...you always have to look a bit to the side if you want to run straight forward but after some time i didnt really notice it anymore
the story/atmosphere is awesome and i really liked the game so far

So, what's the deal with SKIDROW's release + THETA crack? Does this combo work like it should? Any crashes?

How important is exploring the forest's non-main paths? I do it a lot, and barely found anything. The hidden caches mostly.

@Radicalus
Aye, the #1 downside to higher difficulties in a game like this; you get less ammo and enemies get more health. I'm playing on Normal and it's not so bad at the moment.. but I'm only halfway through Episode 2, later eps get MERCILESSLY difficult due to HP/ammo thing.

Right. The only hazard in going in the deadly side places is, that they have respawning mobs - and you have only so many bullets. It already happened once, that I ran out. Wasn't cool. |

Sure, one copy isn't much, but it's the best one person can do. Likewise, one signature on a petition means a hell of a lot less. And besides, not every person needs to start a petition or spamming campaign. After one person starts it, everyone else is basically just a "me-too," and that definitely isn't worth as much as a copy sold. Thus, yes, buying a copy is better than being part of a petition.
As pretty much any rational person knows, petitions are pretty much worthless. 10,000 people buying copies of the game will have infinitely more effect than 10,000 signatures on a petition. To give an example, they're not going to bring American Nightmare to PC if they get a huge petition with 250,000 signatures demanding AWAN on PC, but they only end up selling 5,000 copies of AW1 on PC in the meantime.
When that kind of shit happens (lots of vocal display of demand from gamers for something, but low sales when the developer actually makes it available), it's kind of hard for them to not interpret as people just wanting the game available on a platform that they own and can easily pirate on.
Developers need to be shown that people will buy a game when it's on their platform, not just that they want it. When tons of people demand something, but only a tiny fraction of them actually buy it, it sends the developer the message that people just want the game available for them to pirate more easily. Can you really blame the developer for seeing it that way, or even deny that it's true, in a lot of cases? Be honest: do you really think that everyone who signed that "Dark Souls on PC" petition was planning on actually buying the game if it came out on PC, or were a lot of them perhaps just wanting to pirate it, but didn't own a modded PS3 or 360?
Consumers need to hold up their end of the bargain, too. If you demand something, be ready to buy it when they meet your demands. It's only fair. You can't get everything you want just by punishing the developer alone. They should be rewarded when they do what you want and it's done well, even if it's not perfect. You can't just use the excuse of "well, they gave me the game I wanted, but the PC release was late, so I'm going to pirate it to punish them for their disrespect," and expect that to encourage them to treat the PC audience better next time. You'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar, every time. Even if they don't do it perfectly the first time, progress is worth rewarding. It's still a two-way street, and you have to understand that your behavior is part of a collective whole that influences how developers will handle this platform.
Or, whatever, just pirate AW1 and go sign a petition demanding AWAN and their next games on PC, and if you really want to believe it, then sure, keep telling yourself that that does as much good. I don't give a fuck.

Honestly, I think it's very, very good. Skipped this night playing it. And I love every second of it.
