Yes it is.
Get jungle flasher + firmware pack, then have a looksie here:

You may have to register, and if the site keeps redirecting you to motillo... use adblock, its freaking annoying sometimes.
This is the method I used - without actually knowing about it before 
It works great with the liteon, just be sure to dump the firmware and save your DVDKEY,
Save it 3-4 times in different places, its soooo important.
Spoof your DVDKey to the stock firmware and reflash it.
Update your dash.
Dump everything again using the above method, and reflash with lt3.0
[edit to correct misinformation]
Please remember that old AP25 burns will not work anymore once you update to lt3.0
all of your ISO's will have to be patched with AGBX to patch the topology/stealth.
Then you will have to reburn them using whatever method available.
If you're concerned about the almighty ban hammer, use AGBX afterwards to verify the disc.

If you are not burning using an IHAS+Maxburn firmware, you will have to truncate the burn.
Doing this means you CAN NOT install XGD3 games to the hard disc as you will get disc-auth errors and possibly ban-flagged for your efforts.
This is because the last 3% of the burn cut off from truncating contains enhanced security protocols that can be read when the disc is idle.

Yes, only applies for ap25 protected games.
An an ap25 patch (lt2.0) burnt Forza 4 will not work on LT3.0, but Tekken 6 for example will.

With the new dashboard and lt3.0 can you still run your games from the drive??(if you dont install or care about live)

With LT3 you need to reburn your AP25 games as it won't even let you boot them. Anything else is fine.

Updated and everything works. Even patched Darkness2 right from xbl and everything works. lt30 ihas, installed.
tho colors are fixed. It was too dark on expanded vga. now its correct black depth

Goddamn, I am having a hell of a time trying to burn these XGD3 discs. It's a complete hit or miss with me.
First burn of MW3 failed, second burn succeeded.
Now so far for Kingdoms of Amalur I have 4 bad burns so far. My computer reports the burn was successful, with no errors or anything. But when I pop it in my 360, it just says disc unreadable.
I have an iHAS drive properly flashed with c4eva's firmware, and I'm on LT3 (obviously).
Burning at 2x and using the media suggested, still can't seem to get it right. :\

I am having no problem here at all.. Not failed any single disc.

xgd3 iso -> abgx -> imgburn x2,4(default option at all, only speed) -> verbatim
maybe You have some programs running in the background?
Try changing sata power cable to another

Help me out here,
My box flashed with LT 2.0, i updated today from usb to latest dashboard 14719, never was on live so no silent dae.bin.
My question: how the hell my xgd3 games works? i have koa burn without ihas burner, and its working on new dashbord + i can install the game to hdd and its working. i burnt the game with LT 2.0 topology pacthed with xbc.
I bought a new pc + asus burner that can be flashed to ixtreme burner max, should i?
Why should i flashed my box to LT 3.0 and my burner to ixtreme burner max if my xgd3
games patched with LT 2.0 topology works fine? and i can install them to hdd fine?
what am i missing?
Edit:
Is silent dae.bin comes with new dashbords or only from live?

Weird! Maybe the dae.bin was only in previous dash update?
So you can play last games without any problem on the new dash? Only flash them back to 2.0 ?

Quick Question on Dashboard updating on the 360.
I've been swapping drives in my slim so M$ doesn't lock mine so I have to buy a new PCB board. Do I still have to do this every-time or do these dashboard updates assume you have already updated your firmware and leave your drive alone.
I'm getting tired of taking the 360 apart and swapping drives every-time I have to update the dashboard for safety reasons that my drive might be flashed.

I might be completely wrong but I can only think of 1 update in recent history that reflashed the dvd drive. At no point will MS lock your drive though (they might however reflash it again for you). Why not just swap the drives at that point (if it ever happens) as you already know the key so can spoof another drive?

Yes. They did have one dashboard update that flashed the drive. Mine is 0272. At this point that flash locked the drives on the slim consoles from being able to be flashed again, if I was reading everything correctly. The Fat consoles were unaffected by this. Since this happened I don't want to risk my drive.
Or did I read wrong about users buying unlock-able PCB boards to replace theirs because M$ was locking slim drives like crazy because after the update no one could re-flash because M$ locked their PCB on their drive
I'm just trying to find out if that one initial dashboard update is all that flashes the drives or does each and every Dashboard update from here on out check to make sure the drives firmware is correct..? If this is the case I'll keep dong what I've been doing, if not I'll just update like normal and leave my drive in the 360.
I purchased a spare drive to swap in my console and changed the key on it so my drive wouldn't get locked. This is what I've been using each and every-time I update the dashboard on my console.

You may well be right. I'm a phat owner so the repercussions of the update weren't horrific. Not entirely sure about slims I'm afraid.
AFAIK, there haven't been any updates since that have affected the drives on any of the consoles. However, doesn't mean to say it won't happen in the future I guess.
Have you considered RGH'ing as it'd be far less hassle in the long run
