One complete lifestyle. In return, the syndicates gained unprecedented insights, and control, over the individual and their behavior. With little government oversight, business has become war. The syndicates will stop at nothing for ultimate market dominance.
At the first line of this war are the agents, the syndicate's bio-engineered and chip-augmented enforcers. They can breach anything in the wired dataverse, including their enemies, their weapons and the environment that surrounds them, making them the most efficient and deadly technological weapons in the world. All I am trying to say is that in general - I love CoR and The Darkness.
The Darkness might be a 8/10 game in generall gameplay but I totally loved all the detail and atmosphere, voice acting, music, graphics etc. It had that typical Starbreeze touch of a game filled with unique atmosphere and detail to world and characters.
That is why I expecting at least something from Syndicate, even if its not another syndicate wars od Darwinia

I tried the demo on the PS3. The CO-OP actually requires teamwork to succeed. You generate health slowly and all the weapons etc do normal damage before any upgrades are applied. Some of the enemies require breaching to be done at the right moment so its not all run and gun. You go gung-ho alone , expect to be slaughtered.
There is actually quite a bit of strategy involved with killing the special enemies. One needs to bait him and the other needs to breach from behind and shoot.
When team members lose all their health another member has to breach and heal them. The breach bar needs some time to heal as well.
There is a very huge loadout of weapons to choose from and there are also premade types like offense, defense for quickplay. All weapons have recoil so you just can't keep it pressed and expect to shoot someone.
Unfortunately there is no server browser and matchmaking kicks in to find an appropriate server.
Overall, I don't play multiplayer games at all and prefer singleplayer but I wouldn't mind buying the game on the PC based on the co-op.
I don't think it will come today maybe by tomorrow considering its not a highely anticipated title
I very much anticipate it for 1year. Damn cyberpunk dubstep by ruined Starbreeze! I hope it have at least some heart of that developer, becouse most staff went to hell

No, most staff went elsewhere Most the geniuses behind Darkness and Riddick no longer work at Starbreeze.. so what's left now is the scraps, basically. I have no hopes for Syndicate - even as a game it looks decidedly mediocre - let alone when it's abusing the fuck out of a beloved franchise.
