Aye, I definitely agree with that - CoD 4 was the best so far, IMO, it had everything and wasn't ruined with stupid streamlining or idiotic stuff.

Still I found it hard to actually see a difference between black ops and modern warfare 3 aside from the different color palette.

Hate Treyarch, cause their game ran like shit on my pc unless it was running under winxp, then it was perfect. Although the single player was fun it didn't make up for the shitty performance for me.

For me BO ran fine but the cutscenes were stuttering all over the place, how the hell does that work?
Getting killed on the first level did cause a black screen crash though, crazy stuff, took me 6 weeks to get past that level cause when it crashed I really didn't want to load it up again

Lovely, but well with MW3 you could see the end of the franchise approaching. Killing the last bad guy symbolized that.
Though, I wonder if MW3 multi-player fan base has died out already, since it happened quite fast for MW2

At least Treyarch gave us ranked dedicated servers for the PC. A big plus in my book.
NO lag, NO hackers/cheaters.

I havent been able to finish any CoD since Black ops, the endless npc spawning just sucked so fucking much that i couldnt care anymore. Have not even tryd MW3, but i'm sure its same shit.
Cod4 was the best one of the new ones. Mp was pretty fun, couse it focused on more on gunplay not the stuff they got in it now, freaking nukes and shit. Also watching mw3 videos i think the maps get smaller everytime, which is another thing i hate, you spawn and same second someone shoots you from behind you, maybe i just generally hate the moving clockwise spawnpoint thing(i know it was in mw too).
