You just play video games and live in your virtual world, OMG!!!!

No matter who said this, anyone has an idea on how to repell this ?

I have never played MMOS and will not play MMOS, apart from QA Testing at work SWTOR The old republic.

and chances are these exact same people who go OMG YOU LOSER YOU PLAY VIDEO GAMES! HA! GROW UP VIRGIN! spend 99% of their free time on facebook and listen to top40 music and have no idea who bob dylan is and only know 10 songs by queen and think that ac/dc and guns and roses are the same bands.

distance yourself from idiots of the world and don't let their opinions affect you. Know this. at the end of the day its your life and you choose what to do with it. if in any way shape or form you regret wasting a friday night playing video games, then it is you who should decide on doing something else. Not someone who thinks farmville is an amazing game and you're a sociopath because you like killing people over the internet. Rolling Eyes


as to best way to combat it... video games now are an art. you're not playing video games, you're embracing modern culture and stimulating your brain, exercising your hand/eye coordination or potentially learning a new language. Then just say, what have you done today?

simple. the same thing OMG YOU WASTE YOUR LIFE can be applied to anyone and everyone with a hobby. some people just don't understand that there's more to life than what they're doing.

Those kind of people are having a hard time acceptinging that they are even less interesting or not worthy of spending time with than playing video games. All I feel for this kind is pity and I don't think they would be a loss. Especially if you're accpeting their lifestyle, no matter how ridiculous it is in your opinion, but they won't yours.
