then if not this screenshot, there are plenty of other sceenshots without the fucking truck. The game looks great and even better in motion. It have that nice remedy vibe to it

The visuals are nice but they arent really jaw dropping , but they are nice , the gameplay is dreadful and it is dreadful and boring and repetitive , the storyline and some of the "lines" are ridiculous it really is bad , but ,i am still trying to work my way through it as ive paid good hard earned cash for it i will finish it no matter what lol.
If you like it then awesome for you i just cant get a hook into it its that bad.
Best game of 2012 ? only if your 9 and this is the only game youve ever owned and played then possibly it might be , for you lol.

WTF. Gameplay is really entertaining, atmosphere is great and story is very interesting. its a remedy game for christ sake. I sometimes can't find a language with You guys.
And I am not excited about this game. Finished it 3 times when it came out 2 years ago.

Nah it's not, vehicles textures are that bad in the game 
Alan Wake is good looking overall, but there are some aspects that make it show its age (mostly low-poly characters/objects and some -very- bad textures). The lighting is great though, and the fact that almost the whole game is set at night helps  |

300 energizer batteries a shotgun a pistol , flare gun ammo but you cant carry 2 torches ?
Point torch or turn on light
Shoot
Run for a bit
repeat.

Alan wake is not a challenging game but if the controls would be kinda accurate the game would be even easier.

Controls are perfect. what is wrong with You? Its not unreal tournament. Controls here are suppose to be fluid and smooth. Not twitchy.
Do You run game at 60fps?

Imo the controls aint accurate maybe you played on consoles too much or something...
My framerate is fine but most probably the problem is that you are a fanboy and try to defend the game. Since when are games perfect in every aspect?
I can tell you shortcomings of any game (skyrim etc.) OMG GAMES CAN HAVE NEGATIVES ASWELL?

Absolutely. And if it didn't have the quite good story, I'd never would have played through it back then.

The more I played Alan Wake, the more it reminded me of stripped down yet refined version of Alone in the Dark.
The light removing the protection from enemies was the same mechanic as us having to burn enemies to remove their "darkness" and kill them.
In fact there was even a bird level during the game not to mention some crazy driving sequences and many other similarities.
However, while AITD had control and performance issues which made it get trashed badly, it did a lot of new and bold things out of which I still remember the brilliant inventory system and realistic fire spreading.
Till date no game has either tried refining AITD's innovations which is a crying shame. The game did lots of new stuff which was sadly broken.
Come to think of it, I'll brave those crap controls again one of these days when I get the chance. That game was challenging and definitely hardcore.
Running away from mutants while bleeding badly and having zero bullets in your gun... fun times 
1 and 2 are still amazing.

When I am talking directly to someone, I am always capitalazing "y" becouse of courtesy. Just as You do in letters to other person
