No, they reviewed the PS3 copy.
Judging from the galaxy map in the review, there are at least shitloads of systems to explore so its easier to forgive the recycling.

I was really wondering what the fuck has happened to the animations / facial animations.
Horrible. Shepherd's running animation? (played as femShep) Looked like she has balls the size of freaking water melons O.o
I mean, granted, ME always had some weird facial animations (http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lv5aabZKin1qdn2zy.jpg)

Some are terrible (running, esspecially with empty hands/one handed weapon), others seem pretty much normal but definitely nothing to write home about. I'm still wondering why so few developers seem to value good animation in their games, while at the same time throwing millions of dollars for new graphic engines. They really should learn it has a tremendous effect on the overall image. The first thing that impressed me in Half-Life 2, for example, wasn't the shading, shadows or textures, but how Alyx was able to walk, turn around and talk to me over her shoulder. Same goes for Uncharted games, the animations there are simply stunning.

The demo already told me everything I needed to know about the game, it's Mass Effect 2.1, a mediocre cover shooter with superpowers set in an once interesting universe.
My excitement is pretty much close to zero, and I'm not even mad anymore. Bioware's philosophy of Awesome® radically changed the essence of the game, making it an entertainment product for teenagers, a silly blockbuster with superheroes, bad asses and sexy naked aliens.
I'm getting too old for this shit

Fool! The humans have already obviously fled! The Alliance isn't stupid enough to not believe in the Reapers and do nothing despite surmounting evidence! Clearly... CLEARLY those "humans" are just holograms to trick the Reapers for some reason or something!

Well, technically it wasn't the Alliance that didn't believe Shepard - they were all on his side - it was the council, the other races, that didn't believe.

From all the trailers I saw the engine has been improved by a lot. I don't see how that statement is lol. |
I guess you didn't play the demo. Like, yanno, ALL OF US DID. The animations are terrible. |
It's not just the animations, is it? I just launched the demo, and "played" the beginning, so basically I watched the beginning cutscenes.
Not only are the animations shit, the visuals overall look no better than ME2, if not worse???!!!
Is it just me? What happened?

Is it just me? What happened? | The demo apparently uses some old resources, from around last june-july.
At least the textures of the final version will be better, someone from bioware confirmed it a while back in a, ugh, "tweet".

Well BioWere have promised that earlier decisions will have larger impacts, but blegh... they also said that about ME1>ME2. I've given up listening to what BioWere have to say.

Well there is a large amount of choices in ME1 that do transfer over but a lot of it are the minor quests or new game start bonuses, for the misc quests it's nearly always just meeting a previous NPC and sometimes doing a small task for them and the import bonuses are just resources for fulfilling certain conditions.
Most larger choices are now covered by the Genesis DLC but it does skip most of the minor choices.
(But it's far better than the New Game ME2 situation where you basically only confirm one of three questions each branching to two separate events.)
EDIT: And Bioware recently did say the ME3 saves will have some use too.
(I'm never getting rid of the Mass Effect saves it seems.)
(The save game utility taking into account all possible choices for this trilogy will probably be quite interesting to see, before that though maybe Gibbed could do a ME3 save creator? )

But I have an all human council.
...
Is this one of those things Bioware decided for you?
