Unsure if it's a repost, I tried looking but then just gave up Laughing The idea sounds good, a whole lot better than the "I'm a sweetheart/I'm a blackheart" stuff we're normally used to. On paper, at least, no doubt in game it will end up being just another fancy good/evil system.

Eh, yeah, I can't see them making it any kind of revolutionary mechanic. It doesn't really even sound different than before. I doubt it will offer anything beyond an extra side quest depending on which kind of rep you favour more or some stupid dialog/reactions.

Actually, the more I think about it.. the more it's just yet another milestone system. Reputation increases no matter what you do, whether you're a renegade or a paragon, but the system works off checkpoints --- so in order to trigger certain plot events, or even side quests and rewards, your "reputation" (which is an amalgamation of paragon/renegade scores) needs to keep rising in order to meet those checkpoints.

It's basically the "levelling" system for the plot, lol.

Did you guys play as a customized character in the demo? The voice pitch actually changes somewhat to match the character you have created.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

such a system could encourage players to do as many sidequests as possible, I think. Wink

Does anyone know if I were to use a VPN to preorder the game off origin Singapore whether or not I will get the pre-order bonuses too or not? If so, any suggestion which VPN to use to buy the game?

A 10/10 means the game could do nothing to be better than it is. By that logic it must be perfect. How can 10/10 not mean that? Or maybe I missed the point in which case carry on. Hardcore fans are the most annoying twats.

This is why I generally don't like numerical scores. Had a looooong discussion about that a couple months back.
Because I, as well, think that 10/10 or whatever metric you're using means the games has no flaws ect which for me says it's perfect. Which it can't be.
I don't care if people disagree with me on that. The only way to combat that is to not use numerical scoring systems anymore but meh.

They noticed that idiocy themselves, thats why some mags have a 11/10 score for "really perfect" games. (OXM for example)

No reason why would 10/10 mean something is perfect. Same as if I said something is 100% - but 100% of what? It subjective and depends on the reviewer and how they rate it. Obviously you can't rate things like story and artistic design on a scale where 10 means perfect.

Also if you consider 10 to be perfect, I don't see a point in having a 10 point system, if only 9 of the points will be used since #10 is not achievable.

One more thing is that if you consider 10 perfection, then any todays game should get 1/10 at most, since complete virtual reality games that will come hundred years from now will most certainly be much closer to the perfect 10. Todays games are instead rated relative to previous games in the franchise and current generation of games, which again makes it hard to classify anything as near perfect. That's why for me 10/10 is a perfectly viable score.

But I do agree we need a better way of rating games.

It's all very simple really. A 10/10 is fine but if the review mentions any negatives then how do you justify a 10/10? Reviews are mostly personal opinion which is to be expected but the hypocrisy of some outlets is mind boggling. This is why I don't like omg max rating scores. Basically it's an indicator that the reviewer is full of shit.
