That's actually pretty good, the Starter Edition stuff works better than a demo.

Indeed! Played some random matches on SC2 one and i liked it and actually i bought it. Don't think i would've get it if i wasn't able to check multiplayer.

i talk with him from time to time, he said he buyed/have like 25 accounts, most expensive purchase was from f&f beta phase. (300+$)
from renting, he manage to get about 500-800$ per week now, and in the past (last year) 1000+.
not really a bad busniss, unless he lied to me.

wouldnt surprise me at all. people are suckers.
(prime example would be people paying several times more for new consoles or crap like ipads, just to get them a couple days (!) early ...)
and sc2 beta was also sold wide and large iirc.
