You do it from in-game when starting a new game, it's one of the choices. Smile
(Just let the ME2 save folder remain as it was.)

Still blank for me. Where is your save game situated JB?

(And it allows access to the real game exe which can then be cracked or otherwise modified, probably also to make DLC additions decryptable or how that worked.)
a-HA! A pattern emerges regarding origin exclusives/games appears! Very Happy
Now if only we could travel 5 years back in time scene groups could use this to get cracking with speedy origin releases, because as it stands today... Sad

@H4wkeye: But that's the question, did they turn to shit because EA bought them or would they follow the same steps anyhow? IMO they would.

My opinion is, that the process of becoming shit started before joining EA - in fact, joining EA was just a step in their already started process. I made a thread about this a while ago.

C:\Users\*Username*\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save\
(Folder there named after your in-game character profile, Save_0060.pcsav file in that folder was the one I imported but all .pcsav files can be used, that means quick saves and auto saves usually.)

EDIT:

(Skipped taking images from the first part of the prologue as it's the same as the demo, this is the second part - according to the movie file names at least, game probably treats it as prologue being finished.)

EDIT: Heh, the main ship upgrades transferred over.
(That cannon and armor+shield combo will be useful.)

Stop teasing us JB! I think I'll go with a Femshep in ME3. She was a badass in ME2 when I played with her, especially her voice. Let's hope ME3 can hold a candle to ME2 in that respect.

They're mostly the same as the demo (As expected.) with some sharpening or such here and there, otherwise it's about identical to how Mass Effect 2 looks other than what UE3 enhancements have been included and such.
(SSAO for example but as in ME2 it's deactivated again and can't be enabled just via ini editing.)

Whoa wait wait wait!

The prologue is the SAME as the demo?
Didn't they say that the demo version was an edited version of the prologue, and that in the retail version there would be more dialogue and more choices?

Laughing

It seems the prologue was longer in the beta leak from couple of months ago, but for whatever reasons they decided to shorten it. In the script they had a scene in which Shepard answered question in front of the human committee, based on the decisions from the first two games.

It probably got scrapped, because it was too confusing for everyone new to the series....

EA BioWare - now worse than Activision? Valid question is valid.

I know I'm coming off like a hater here... but guess what? I own ME1 and ME2. I believe that gives me legal right (Laughing) to complain about how shitty the final part of a trilogy is sounding like it's turning out to be. Some of the removals and/or streamlining honestly sounds like an April Fool's joke, it's that hilariously shocking.

... and since people are confirming that the demo is the same as the final, I believe that makes my points even more valid; since I PLAYED the demo and was thoroughly disgusted.

Well, I agree. I also own both Mass Effect 1 and 2. I told myself after ME2 I would never buy another bioware game, and I won't. I really like ME1, a lot, but it's just gone to shit since the EA merger.

Oh of course I can definitively understand that many of the Mass Effect and/or Bioware fans are disappointed in what they've done with this game and also what has happened between Bioware and EA lately.

Had both these games been done like how Mass Effect 1 was done (And improved from there.) they would probably have been much better, longer development time required for that of course but it would have been worth the wait.
(Unfortunately many publishers tend to be a bit aggressive with release dates or that's the impression I get.)

If you think pirating it will actually harm them, and praise PC gaming, i feel sad about you, best way how to show some disagreement, is to buy it really really cheap (Wait till it gets to that point or buy from some cd key site) and crack all DLCs, or dont play it at all.

@JB

Aye, it's such a shame that Biowere felt the need to streamline the game in order to make more money from selling to a.... ahem... wider audience. It's a shame, but it's no loss to me - since I won't pay for this one. I'll grab it for free and finish the story, then delete and forget. Nothing can take away the awesome first game though Very Happy

@K0tY

Bwuahahahaha!!

"The best way to show that you disagree with what Bioware is doing is to buy the game"
