I'm sure it will, but I am hoping to Inglip that this won't have GFWL on it. I was never able to complete GTA4 because I'd lose my savegames in between reloading my OS. I tried numerous times at the various "methods" described here, and elsewhere with no success. Always a corrupt savegame.

The current consoles don't really have enough power for another GTA in them. They should wait for the next nextgen.

We knew it was coming early Q1. Which means January or February. Not exactly the best proof, that he knew the release date.

It already looks much better than GTA IV, and nextgen isn't coming that soon.
So what's the harm in making this? You will get your nextgen GTA once nextgen actually comes

There's no harm, but I expect more from a tarnsition to 4 to 5. They could've done somthing like Vice City, not exactly a sequel but not an expansion either. Both consoles are pushed to their limits with GTA4, RDR does the same, so I doubt this one looks much better. Are you referring to a gameplay vid I missed?
PS. I thought MS was announcing its next console this year?

Yes, it's rumored by some Microsoft will present their next console this year, so think 2013-2014 for the actual release. Edit: I mean January 2013-December 2013.

GTA V isn't made for next-gen ! No one would release a big title for a new console that barely came out unless the 360 owners can play it earlier " which has a big piece on the market at the moment and it will take a bit of time until the 720 will have a bigger place on the market and that would have mean a big delay on the release of GTA V if it would have been made specially for next-gen "

Rumor: 2K Czech working on GTA V, Rockstar helping with Mafia III

The tech sharing goes both way, with Rockstar opening its secrets to 2K Czech. Our source tells us the collaboration is part of Take Two’s plan to turn the Mafia series into a major franchise.
2K Czech’s next game, Mafia III, has apparently just gone into full development after a year of thorough pre-production, in which the game’s concepts and tech were stripped back to basics and rebuilt.
Our source has no details on Mafia III’s intended release window or platforms, but noted that 2K was in attendance at the “Durango” developer’s summit in London, rumoured to be an insider reveal of the next Xbox console.
Mafia II released in August 2010 and received extremely divisive reviews, with critics praising its story, characters and richly-detailed world but criticising the gameplay.
When approached for a statement, 2K advised it does not comment on rumours.

Fuck yeah, I love this partnership, the two companies perfectly complete each other 
What Mafia II needed was exactly more variety in gameplay, a more involving pace and better use of the open world

I wouldn't say hate, just didn't enjoy. It was clunky and I just wasn't into it at all. I played a lot of Mafia 2 and really ended up getting into that in a big way, not sure why but it just clicked.

I enjoyed Mafia 2 but having played GTA IV just a year before that I found the gameplay not so good in comparison. There was so much more fun stuff to do in the GTA IV world. This joining of efforts can only be good.
