I don't understand the problems either, it's typical Mass Effect. I'd rate it above ME2 and at the same level as ME1.

It depends on what are your actual expectations, the complete change of formula/pace has clearly different impact on different people, personally I found it atrocious and downright insulting, like Radicalus said some pages ago :/

The game has been structured as a hollywoodian blockbuster, a popcorn interactive experience where fast pace is a necessity and everything needs to be spectacular and cinematic. I never asked for this Crying or Very sad

Wasn't that exactly the same, but failed a bit, in ME2? This series has always been about "cinematic experience". ME1 on the other hand felt a bit amateuristic at points. All games in this trilogy fail imo if you analyze them like that. I for one think ME3 is a logical continuation of the trilogy, so I got what I expected really. A fun game in a great universe worth an 8/10.
I did expect more technically though. If other devs are capable of delivering great technical prowess with UE3, Bioware should be able too with their huge team and budget. Corners have clearly been cut, but not nearly as much as with DA2.

It's indeed the natural continuation of ME2 (which I didn't particularly enjoy either), there's no doubt about that, only (even) more spectacular and focused on action.

ME1 was quite rough, it's true, the level design wasn't exceptional and the exploration got repetitive after a while, but at least it gave you a degree of freedom that the sequels have completely lost.

You're forced to run into binaries now, take cover in the exact spot the developers have chosen for you, dialogues are often one-liners in order to not break the pace and even the slight philosophical aspects of the story are gone.

Now it's all about the "let's all stay together and shoot at those alien bastards! They want to cleanse the galaxy? Well it's time to cleanse their asses too fuck yea" Laughing Sad

Seems there might not be that much more left until the game is finished, roughly 30 hours into it and a rating of ~6600 (But at 50% efficiency.) apparently chances are pretty even though I wonder if these last missions will make a large enough difference, game has been OK so far, more of a action game than RPG at this point but it works though it could have been better of course. How can anybody on this planet at the same time like Transformers/GoW and Twilight? I believe that this is not possible without... dunno, being schizophrenic maybe Very Happy.

Well it's the closest thing that came to my mind resembling this games romance. It's a giant cheese.

You musta missed something, or a lot of somethings. Or not imported a save, or a bunch of other stuff. I finished out my first imported 1/2 saves with a SP playthough with 6993, with no multiplayer. And I know I missed stuff.

I did the right one, but i can't say i liked the ending.

I did every side quest there was and only got 3500 points (and yes i did all quests in ME 1 and 2 and saved everyone in Mass Effect 1 and 2), not even close to the 4000. So by this i can say YOU NEED multiplayer for the perfect ending. Bioware is lying as always Rolling Eyes

Bioware destroyed Mass Effect in everyway they could, fucking assholes. Y U No????

did you obsess over the planet scanning thing for an insane amount of time?
i'm thinking that's the trick the reviewers used to "prove" that it's "possible without MP".

There are also side missions that don't become available unless you stand around listening to NPC conversations, plus the NPC conversations where you choose a side to gain support points. Perhaps you missed some of these?

Just went through the coalesced.bin and doubled war asset gains (and losses ) for all entries except for the credit giving ones.

I don't think it's a cheat, you still have to do almost everything to get the best ending but now it's at least possible ( I think ).

Made it for myself, I'm replaying now on Insanity, but If somebody else wants to give it a try:

No, i did those as well. Everytime i ran to the citedal i uses every deck and moved to everyone who where talking to gain info what they needed so i could scan those planets for them.

This game is not even worth to pirate, what a piece of shit. Rolling Eyes (And this comes from a huge Mass Effect fan (iNathan can confirm it Razz))
