New AMC show looks like it may be pretty good.

Quote:
Follows the police investigation of the murder of a young girl, tying together three interlocking stories as investigators chase a variety of leads.

lol its a remake of a danish show..didnt know it was AMC who were doing it..it was CRAZY popular in Denmark (won an emmy too I think, in the US) and also pretty popular in the UK for a foreign show but I personally thought it was very boring

The remake is getting good reviews even in danish newspapers. And the first 4-5 episodes are great, but then nothing but detours happen for the next 5 episodes!

3 episodes remaining, but they really have to step up.

Put on your best sweater and see the original first.

I like that they have changed the killer tho...

Spoiler ahead (ya forgot how to make it spoiler Smile )

In the original series it was some creepy uncle named Vagn Smile

So just watched episode 11 and knowing the series ends in 2 episodes. This episode was 100% boring crap. This episode could just as well (well alot better) have been episode 2. The 2 main characters are talking and her boy is missing for a day. There is no plot movement at all...Ill watch the last 2 episodes. But avoid this and see the original instead.

Really good show. Smile I put off watching it until now because of the cliffhanger ending, but since S2 will be starting soon (April 1), I took a watch. Really good.

Well, it is a single murder case spanning over 2 seasons. Not sure what to compare it to. It has political overtones, it is methodical. I'd say if liked Wire, Justified, Terriers - you will probably like this too. Smile

With fear of sounding like a cliche - see the original, it really is so much better.

The finale was excellent, especially...

Overall, a really great ending to one of the best murder mystery shows in a long time.

I have to agree, I watched this show casually, it had some good moments and I don't remember to ever had the impression that a certain episode was a filler.

This is not any TV masterpiece but it is a highly entertaining and addictive show.

Tonights ending and the reveal of the real killer and what drove the murder itself felt right and appropriate when considering the show in its entirety.

The entire scene where the real killer is revealed was superbly managed!

Really liked the show. It had its bad moments, but overall it was a good murder mystery I'd say.

Does anybody know how well it performed? Meaning, is there a chance of them remaking the next season as well?

AMC have not announced a cancellation or renewal yet. The ratings were down this year, though, so a renewal is less likely.

I think I'd prefer it to end with season 2. The story came to its natural conclusion and any further seasons would hardly have any recurring characters, and they are the reason the show was so good.

The show is now officially canceled by AMC, so if anyone wanted to see the next season/case, they'll have to check out the original. Although it seems Fox hopes to sell it to another channel, so there still might be a small chance.
