I wanna burn a DVD its in ifo vob etc. at the moment. Is there an easy way to strip it down to less than 4 GB?

Use DVD shrink but remove some/most/all of the extras and extra audio tracks (you don't need the dolby 2.0 track if you have the 5.1 track) so it doesn't have to compress it much. Try to go no lower than 80-90% shrinking on the main movie.

Test it first before you delete the Vobs as some DVD players dont like playing DVDs done with DVD Shrink (Well my Uncles £400 Philips doesnt yet his £30 one does Razz hehe)

DVDShrink works fine most of the time. Sometimes it gives blocky output though, but a redo will solve it.
Considering the speed thats not really a problem either so...

I used DVDShrink on all 9 discs of my Alien Quadrilogy and all of them are over 7gb's and most of the movies were compressed to 60-70% and yet the final result was wonderful. Took away unnessecary audio and subs but kept all extras and movies. Can't tell the difference in quality really...
