I preordered the shogun 2 expansion for £25 and then later saw Amazon was selling it for £17, shame you can't cancel steam preorders.

You can cancel pre-orders - contact Steam support.

Kinda difficult to explain but press the "connect" button in the first window. After that you press the little arrow next to "new identity". When you have pressed the arrow a list of locations should pop up, scroll down till you find a UK one and then select it. After that you have select the odd looking icon that allows you to intercept a program, select your webrowser.

That should do it but if it doesn't you have to also go to your browser settings and select manual proxy and enter the adress + port you can see in AdvOR.

Good luck! if it fails maybe someone else here can explain better

Thanks but I can't get it to work. Clicking the 'buy' option doesn't do a thing.

Oh well, I'll wait for a Steam sale.

I'm still okay with buying it for you, if you want. Smile

Thanks mate, much appreciated Smile

Started playing the single player, doesn't seem all that polished, and the tutorial is a bit crap. I got pwned on the second mission. It would be nice if it taught you some tactics or something.

You have to use recons as they told you. Good positioned recons is the key to victory. Also remember to have a lot of supply units around to instantly repair and resupply your units.

So far I have beaten the first campaign and while it was difficult at times it wasn't unreasonable, also completed all secondary missions except the one where you had to beat a mission in 20 minutes

Once the supply trucks are out of ammo, then what do you do with them? Is there a way to resupply them?

I tend to try and hide all my units in the trees.

Ok, having way more supply trucks and ferrying them back to the FOB to resupply made a big difference. I try to put the recon in trees etc so they can spy but if an enemy gets in range they attack which surely reveals their position? The armored recons seem to be fairly useful as they can attack air and ground and killed quite a few units even though it was not my intention for them to engage.

Darn, thought I was getting the hang of it but mission 3 on the first campaign is much harder. I managed to secure the secondary bases but they keep sending reinforcements and gradually wear down my units and my FOBs run out of supplies. Those T-72s have such a long range and blow up my infantry units that are hiding in the trees.

Any tips? Maybe I should unlock some more units?

Use your ATGM infantry along with recon for defense. ATGMs will always outrange tanks. They're also very inaccurate without experience though.

pro top.. units with XP are awesome.. so when you can.. buy the 5 rated ones

Also for extreme sneak if you can... get some max special forces.. chopper them aroudn the map.. drop them at the entrance for the ops zones.. hide ithem in trees.. they will take out enemy units as they come into the field Very Happy

Man, I unlocked some better units, and was rocking and rolling through the counter-strike mission but they sneaked some tanks through my gaps to blow up the command centres and I lost the mission even though they only had about 2 units left vs my 20 or so.

God damn it.

I figured out how to enable the DX11 mode which makes the game look way better (need to enable windows 7 compatibility).

It says English language as well - you can actually see that for yourself but whether it needs VPN activation or is region free isn't known as yet. Also it's a pre-order on yuplay and not available until April 13. Chances are that if someone has bought it from there they won't even have a key yet and therefore wouldn't be able to give any details.

Still impenetrable. The only-released crack (which has already been proven faulty) by 3DM hasn't still been fixed by them or any other. There's another recent game (Confrontation - which applies the same protective method - highly-'mutated' Starforce + limited activations) and still hasn't been breached. The end of piracy is nigh.
