lol yeah i submitted a ticket to steam, and like b0se said... i really dont expect a timely response... or even an intelligent one, my impression of steam support is that they kinda stick to their prepared script mostly..
"please wait a few days, then try again". i honestly expect that to be the response I get....
and again, like b0se said... strange how i never have these problems with pirated games 
its kinda annoying because i DID just blow 10 fucking GIGS of my monthly data allowance on this, and i was really looking forward to playing it NAO!, and... i dunno... is it too much to expect that steam would have a key accessable for me?
im just glad this is the first time its ever happened... hopefully never again, eh

well their first suggestion didnt work. as i guessed, they're giving me pre-baked instructions.

please delete all files and/or folders within the steam directory, except steamapps and steam.exe. stop. restart computer. stop. relaunch program. stop. see if problem persists. end.
well that didnt work for shit, all that managed to do was remove all the favourites from my server list. yay!
lets see what their second suggestion is.
edit: yay. their second suggestion is IF YOU ARE USING A MAC. which if they werent idiots, they'd know i wasnt because i DID FILL IN THE "WHAT OS ARE YOU USING" BIT WHEN I SUBMITTED THE TICKET 
oh and finally, try our network troubleshooting guide, just in case your firewall magically blocked our key server JUST for this game, given that you've never had this problem before.

I was about to LOL at chiv and rip ubishit a new one, but then noticed that it's that stupid steam error.
That usually goes away after a few hours... I think.

what time is it in india? is valves entire tech support team still asleep or something?

Forget the response from valve, b0se is right. 
They'll answer some useless shit after 3 days and by then the problem will be solved... hopefully.
