Is it just me, or is it almost identical to the first game? I'm not really seeing much in the way of new stuff.
Kinda "meh".

There's nothing wrong in that, imo. The gameplay and art-style were already good, if the devs will add more variety, better quests and more interesting story (like promised), it will be a blast

I quit playing the first game after 4 hours. Seriously, the lack of story and fetch quests really grated me. I hope B2 fares better.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

The story is quite awesome in the first game actually. It just doesn't have a very good way of showing that story. As for the side quests, sure they're most like that, but I didn't really have a problem with that. I wouldn't mind more interesting quests, but those really work in Borderlands. I've managed to put around 75 hours into a single character with all the DLCs (though I did play through a lot of campaigns with others). That was also, only on the first playthrough since I left the second one alone for now.

That's why, just like Diablo 2, you'd play Borderlands with the "fake" 4 player setting if you were going to play alone. Of course it required hex editing.. but it was worth it for the increased challenge and better drops ^_^

Ah yes, I think I used a program that had a slider which did that. Not entirely sure if it worked or if I played the game with it though, but I guess that is an option. There should be more enemies by default though.

According to IGN, Zero is still the sniper class and it appears they've nerfed the Siren class by swapping phasewalking with phaselocking, which seems pretty shit in comparison. They've turned Siren from a heavy close range damage dealer to a support class.

story in a borderlands game?
i
fucking
hope
not!
if you want to watch a movie, go watch a movie, if you want to play a very good albeit consolized to hell RPG then play borderlands, two entirely different things and even for the shit story the first one had it was far from unbearable even if it was mostly cheap gags and things that weren't funny the second time.

Some more info, I'd quote it but it's some large background image imitating hand writing, anyway it seems the PC version will not be a straight port at least.

When you get fed nothing but shit for years, you're pretty damned grateful when someone gives you a steak.

Putting aside the presentation (which is fun, I admit), there isn't anything special on that list. They're pretty much just saying the game supports my mouse, keyboard and monitor. Gee, thanks.
Thing is, its hard to impress pc gamers because we can mod/tweak most games whether the devs want us to or not. Including most of the things on that list. The only thing that would impress me would be included and exclusive gameplay content, which won't happen. They don't want to piss off their console audience so they just give us stuff console gamers don't really care or have to worry about anyways.
I liked the first game and I'm definitely getting this one, but if I didn't already want to, this list would not have tempted me.
