I'm going to try and stay clear of the religious aspect of this (already had a ban for misspeaking once about a country and I don't want it repeated ) but I will chime in with this...
Any country in our modern world (you know, the one with electricity, space flight, computers, and the internet) that believes it is legitimately executing people for "witch craft" should not be allowed to exist as a country.
Whether this belief in witch craft stems from ignorance, religion, or political motivation, is irrelevant.
Witch craft? Seriously? This is the kind of shit that just makes me groan in utter disgust. The fact that there are people and, for fucks sake entire COUNTRIES in which witch craft is still acknowledged? I find myself at loss for words to adequately describe just how I feel about that.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I find it interesting how many newspapers and media openly apologize or edit the news so as to not put Islam in a bad light.
I see it going on around here as well, so I'm certainly not blind to it.
I have no respect for idiots, especially not idiots killing people out of ignorance or prejudice.
Not too far from where I currently live, some of these salafist muslims have been active, openly prosecuting people or enforcing their own law on people which is obviously illegal. Like for instance hunting down students who go drinking as it's not allowed in islam.
Theres been some examples of gay people being told to move out of 'their' neighbourhood as them being there was insulting, those people had been living there for 20+ years far longer than the immigrants who got placed there due to them living on social benefits and state housing benefits.
Theres only one thing I've got to say about people like this, get fucked and get lost, you're not wanted or needed in any civilized society.
I just dont go with the inherently bad vibe that all muslims are evil. But other than that I couldnt be more critical of islam or any other religion
Not what I'm saying at all, if these were christian knights templar going around it would be the same problem for me.
I'm an atheist and dislike all religions equally, however the moment someone goes out of their way to dictate how you should or shouldn't live due to it being written or not, in their holy book, they're a burden upon any civilized society.

I agree The islam debate is hot here and I think the rhetoric is flawed on both sides.
Yeah because Pat Condel always chooses his words wisely and does back his statements instead of just calling everybody that thinks different than him a leftist hippy...
Oh and saying "some will call me a Nazi now" and giggling about how ridiculous that'd be, doesn't mean that you aren't a fucking moron, firing the idiotic hate of fascists.
There are obviously things wrong in GB but this guy is a fucking snake. Yo Islam is sooooo bad, culture is innocent, but than he always smuggles stuff in his sentences like Islam is responsible for x,y, genital mutilation of women,z ... While this is clearly a cultural moronity and forbidden in Islam, just like raping the young girls and many of the other stuff he says.
So Pat Condell either doesn't know what he is talking about, which'd make him a loud mouth hate preaching ignorant or he does know what her is talking about, which would make him a hate preaching lier.
Btw i don't think that salafist should be allowed to walk around and interfere with other peoples life either...
Religion is fucking dumb overall. But islamism is jsut awfull. It sounds so good on paper but in real life its a fucking mess with to many crazy people.
Not that christinanity is much better but they at least encourage people to be nice... (which is bullshit btw)
I don't think any of our religions is real. Not a single one. Why any of currently active religions would be any more "real" than egyptians or other civilizations had?
We live in modern times. in the past, religion was there to explain plenty of things which are now common to science. Yet people are blind to their religions. I am not saying that there is not a god or something, but cmon.... wtf is with all this shit

You mean like half of the US (sorry for the Americans on here, but a LOT of your countrymen are religious retards - often racist in addition to that too), including some of the more..public idiots? Actually in quite a few countries lately there are a bunch of political parties who are going against <insert religion or things like homosexuality>, like the PVV here in NL. All of these are equally retarded as far as I'm concerned. As long as one's beliefs and convictions do not harm others or intrude on their lives, live and let live. I don't give a single fuck whether you're gay, atheist, Muslim, Leo () or whatever else, as long as you leave me alone.
No religion is inherently "evil". The "books" (which noone knows where they come from in the first place) behind them are often cryptic, badly translated and changed every few centuries by the political powers using them. I can personally attest to this as in my Latin classes my teacher grabbed some 9th century Bible text (back then it was split into many books - and the Latin versions were translations themselves already) and we translated it, comparing it to several popular modern versions. He did that to show how badly the texts get altered.
Personally, I'm neither religious nor an atheist in the common sense. Most atheists say "there is no God/are no Gods" - as far as I'm concerned, that's just as dumb as being religious, because you simply *believe* the opposite. I don't know whether there is/aren't, nor do I believe there is/aren't. I quite simply just do not know and neither does anyone else. The existence of any has neither been proven nor disproven, therefore I don't believe in either. Until proven otherwise, God(s) could exist in some form - or not. The only problem is that it most likely never will be checked out, since both "sides" are too retarded to prove their claims. What if the likes of Dalton and Perrin hadn't done what they've done? Molecules would still be something you'd either believe in or you didn't. After all, no proof would exist that they'd exist or didn't - same nonsense. And this is also why I can't stand pieces of shit like Condell. A lot of his arguments are severely flawed and just as badly argumented as those made by religious people. I also find it quite funny to see all the hatred towards Islam because of the minority that is annoying - there's just as many annoying Christians (sup, Jehova witnesses? Get the fuck off my driveway please), yet there's no raging going on about that.
There should be a 'I don't care' box. I really don't care what you believe in as long as you don't shove it in my face and it doesn't affect my way of life.
Still does not represent me, because I don't believe that there is a god, nor do I believe that there isn't
It's the same shit as believing in aliens. I don't believe that they're out there, nor do I believe that they're not. Until they come to eat us, we won't know.
I'd say I'm simply an agnostic. I dont believe, nor do I not believe in a god. I know I will never be able to know whether a god exists or not. I believe that there is infinitely more to existence than our reason lets us know. I believe that there is a fundamental difference between objective knowledge and existence. Knowledge beeing a human construction about reality and existence beiing for itself, undefined. This, of course, leaves room for many things, gods, a will of nature, etc. but these things cannot be named. So I just let them be and enjoy myself with what I feel. Sometimes, wandering in nature, and wondering about it, even seeing movies with pictures of the universe or life in the seas can have a wonderful feeling to it. I believe I can feel like I belong in this universe, I can feel sympathy with life itself, but sometimes also adversitiy. I believe in freedom, like Sartre, the freedom to define myself like I want, knowing, that all other, intelligent definition is never completely true. (No concept can ever be completely true and to the point, that is the problem with objectivity, not beeing the object itself) All this, I wouldnt define as god, but I like to have this openness on this ultimate question about life, the universe and everything.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Well, there is a contradiction there. Once you know something, you dont have to believe anymore. But I get what you mean. Simply put, you simply do not care about the subject enough to decide whether to believe or not.
More like "there's no point in believing". Either I know something or I don't; if I believe in something then I will also work to prove that my belief is right at which point it'll no longer be a belief. That's called a hypothesis.
Like I said, that's my problem with it all. Religious people won't prove that a God exists (let's ignore practicality for a second) and the common atheist who says there are no Gods won't prove THAT either. Neither is right, neither is wrong as both are too stubborn to accept otherwise and won't look for proof. Stalemate of epic proportions by two dumb sides that's been going on for millennia now

No religion is inherently "evil".
Exactly that, as I mentioned people who go out of their way to dictate or control how other people should or shouldn't live.
Why should anyone care what people do with their lives as long as they do it in a mutually concensual matter if it pertains to more than one party and aside from that doesn't cause harm or distress to anyone.
It's true that no religion is inherently evil, however religious people have throughout history always been at the forefront when it comes to calling other people, races, social groups or what have you evil, so while it's not religion in itself, it's when religion becomes a tool of control and ignorance by 'evil' human beings that it becomes evil. Look at the "holy" crusades for instance.
Same as a gun in itself is not evil, but if it's used to kill people then it becomes a tool of evil.
I cant really be objective about this subject. I have been robbed and beaten twice. Once in Denmark by Arabs and once in England by black people (The fuckers even stabbed me in the back, presumably because I only had like 20 quid with me) .
In both cases the common thing was religion, screaming Allah "something, give me your shit.... Idiotic, that no-one does anything, all just watch idly by.
All I have to say that he is right, and integration to the society has failed miserably. They just form their own communities and ignore the rest.
Hell, I have never seen full concrete Christian church with iron bars and doors, until I visited a ghetto in Denmark.
And I am not saying Islam is all bad, but I have only seen the worst side of it.

So have most of us. Luckily I've never been robbed but my sister has almost been raped TWICE by muslims. No matter what people say muslims is the biggest problem to our modern society and claiming its social problems is total bullshit. Guess what? I'm unemployed and poor but I don't rape, rob and murder people. Either something is seriously wrong with me or I'm just a normal person that doesn't blame social problems for your own sick and twisted mind
Throws a few very ridiculous curved balls that I'm too lazy to look up right now (rampant homosexuality for example). Otherwise, good to see him still flinging his poo around. At least he hits a few worthy targets every now and then. Not a fan of the guy to say the least, but at least there are a few points I can agree with.
I think the problem lies in the nature of Islam, especially in its current state. The religion is not inherently evil, however their vocal leadership corrupts it. Its a religion in the hands of the corrupt, instead of a religion in the hands of the people.
These vocal few corrupt others to do their bidding and so on, I think it would be best if Islam really splits like christianity did in the 1500s. I know about shiite and sunni but thats more like the orthodox christianity next to normal christianity.
