Steam downloaded some update, unsure what they added this time unless it's that third patch with the debug free-camera mode.

Might be. It's a 30.9 MB update.

Edit: It seems it added Direct Aiming into the options menu.

This game is amazing. I played it for 3 days straight, Only took shits, ate food and walked the dog in between.

One of the best games in the past decade for me, even though it was a derpbox exclusive.

pure art.

So that's what it does.

Update 3 - Alan Wake v1.04 release notes:

• Added support for Nvidia SLI. This requires an updated profile from Nvidia (available March 20-21th).
• Major improvements to Stereoscopic 3D support.
• Added Direct Aiming to control options (previously a command line parameter, that still works and overrides the menu setting).
• Added command line “-freecamera” that allows toggling between normal and a gamepad controlled free camera by pressing right thumb stick (overrides the camera side toggling). This was added as many fans said they want to see the whole world that we have built. Use at your own risk.
• Added Czech text only localization.
• The floating particle words in The Signal and The Writer are now correctly localized for all languages.
• Fixed the controller Back button to resume correctly from viewing manuscript pages.
• Added an experimental mouse sensitivity adjustment command line option “-sensscale” for users with very high DPI mice. By adding e.g. “-sensscale=0.2” command line parameter, that number is used to scale the in-game mouse input. You can use still use the slider in the menu, which will get multiplied by the number defined.
• Please see our forum for up to date troubleshooting and update information: http://forum.alanwake.com/showthread.php?t=7759

Yeah its retarded.... It would only require to assing wsad and arrow keys + sprint button instead of analog sides

i guess we can use some controller to keyboard stuff for this

SLI is finally working, a month after I finished the game. Better than nothing I suppose, but let it serve as a warning as to how big a gimmick it really is to enthusiast gamers.

Steady 60+ FPS with 2x460's at 1920x1080 + max details - 2xAA.

Might replay it on Nightmare, but I'm skerd I'm gonna get my ass kicked!

Does that have the eyepatch and nagging buy screens?

EDIT: Theta crack has no Eyepatch, didn't test enough to see if it fixes the nag screens.

Another update downloaded, I know nothing about what it does currently bu I'll try to find something.

EDIT:

Alan Wake v1.05 release notes:

• Fixed crashes with Alt-Tab in SLI configurations.
• Fixed saving of assigned keys so that both Numlock on/off states work and can be defined separately.
• Fixed command line handling so that invalid input does not cause the game to enter unresponsive (“No World Loaded”) state.
• Added better error messages to File IO operations to track down some problems.
• Please see our forum for up to date troubleshooting and update information: http://forum.alanwake.com/showthread.php?t=7759

EDIT: Now I know there will be bugs but how the hell did that first issue not get discovered immediately, isn't Nvidia pretty strict with SLI testing and it seems so basic (I mean just press-alt tab and see what happens.) and SLI was also one of the main things of 1.04 so surely it would have been tested properly? Odd but at least it's fixed.
(Surely Q&A could have simulated a user accidentally pressing the Win button, I mean the flag one by this and not the dev menu for the game.)

It could always be a "knows issue" but with low priority that it didn't make it earlier

Very impressive game, there are some brilliant ideas in here. I also like the format they used, feels like a show. Brilliant use of music at times. Lipsync ruins the immersion a bit though, it really is bad. Alan's facial expressions are also bad, could've used more work.

I loaded my save game from 1.04 and I've still got an eyepatch while on the boat. Did you restart your save or something? Sad
