Extract and drop all files+folder (ignore the d3d10 folder) into your Diablo 3 folder alongside Diablo III.exe - then just play! You can enable/disable the "effect" with the PAUSE/BREAK key on your keyboard.

TQ had fantastic textures - but D3 looks better when playing. Very rich atmosphere, to my mind. TQ was... "sterile" and felt kinda stiff in comparison.

I'm talking about the overall visual impression. The textures are not as detailed as TQ, true. But the game just LOOKS much better, in my opinion. The animations are fantastic and varied - and the environment is highly interactive - with things breaking apart all over the place when you fight. A much more immersive world to explore.
But that's me.
If you want high-res textures in a sterile and clean environment - then D3 is not going to satisfy.
Even if U put low detals or high details there is not much difference.. Ofc diablo isn't about graphics but cmon, we are in 2012 and since it's not a console game
I sympathise. I think it looks great and plays great, but we can't all share that opinion - and it's too bad if you can't have fun playing it because you don't like how it looks.
This is a Blizzard game, you're not allowed to say anything negative For what it's worth, I agree. TQ looks significantly better than D3 and it's a pretty large hurdle to get over... luckily D3 is a fantastically fun game to play.

I use to get beta invites out the ass for games many years ago. now I have a better chance of being invited to the UN summit than a beta invite it seems.

I still can't make up my mind who should I start playing with, eh. I guess I'll playthorugh Normal difficulty with Monk and DH, and basing on that I'll decide who will be my main char... Barb also looks interesting and seems like a lot more fun class than in D2. *sigh*
