The game looks promising but I think the biggest fear is whether they'll be able to complete it as it is EXTREMELY ambitious. It sounds like a dream for people that enjoy sandbox games I just hope the execution will be up to snuff.

I was going to give them my money, but they are asking minimum 25 to purchase game, were as Project zomboid is only 7.99 and hell even wasteland 2 is cheaper.

Are they nuts? I mean, cool concept but a bit too ambitious for such a small team that only wants 60.000$.. I think such a game is too big for them.

Just the other day I was thinking how a game like this would be oh so awesome if done right. Having said that..with what these guys are saying they want to do I would've expected the goal to be more like $6 million not $60,000...

60k is just to get the game into alpha stage within a six month period for a small team.

Since when is 25$ for a game overpriced? Wasteland 2 is underpriced if anything.

True, but imagine if this were $15. If you don't factor in the name, Brian Fargo, it could very well make as much as a lower price.

well, for backers they should offer lower price, like Double and Wasteland did... cthulhu saves the world is 3$ and it was 24$ on kickstarter

with all do respect for the company,it was quite unfair.

Some Steam Early Access games even when "released" out of early-access do seem to end up in a eternal beta state unfortunately, just one of the risks with purchasing Early-Access I suppose, similar to Kickstarter in some ways.

(Over ambitious developers perhaps but there's probably several other reasons too.)
