True! So many possible remakes, if the engine/map creator would be flexible enough. I wouldn't mind also playing Ishar series Smile

Relax, it's great that you'd take the time to feed us some information about the game and you're becoming a valued member of this forum. You should know however that theres nothing the members of this forum like more than to poke fun at one another Smile

@Dr_Teflon
Does the weight is important, like in old DM?
I mean if you were carrying less items you could go fast. I remember to strip my characters once to pass quickly through a door in the middle levels. Well, if my memory is not failing.... Sad

im sure he got the joke. Very Happy he has a job playing video games. that's a dream come true to many of our 12 year old selves. and he told us plenty that the game gets really difficult later on without spoiling the story. \o/ so it's all cool Very Happy but he should finish it and give us the time played... and then tell us how we, the peasants, can get our hands early on releases.

WE SHOULD ALL START AN ONLINE REVIEW SITE! GAIN CREDIBILITY THEN REVIEW NEW GAMES EARLY AND PROVIDE LEAKS TO THE WHOLE WIDE WEB!!! \o/

still what mag you work for Surprised and will we get to see the review?

Sadly, you guys wont see the review, since it's not a north american or european mag. It isn't every game that I can get my hands early, just a handful of them (no major relases, I focus more on indie and exclusive pc games). I'm 11hrs in now and 8% of the achievements done. (5 or 6 out of 40). reviewing games isnt as fun as it looks, there are times that I need to review 3 or 4 games in a week. it gets tiring and you cant really enjoy the games.

my biggest issue regarding difficulty happened because I was kinda rushing through the game at the start (was going to travel on easter). Therefore I had shitty equipment and stuff. I had to resort to other tactics to kill certain enemies (that I'd rather not spoil it).

@Roger_Young. I didn't noticed it, there is weight and stuff but nothing that really changes the core mechanics. The only thing that's really important on hard is food, your characters get hungry faster iirc. Food drops from monsters.

Edit: don't even think about asking for a leak or anything like that regarding any game, not going to happen lol

Unfortunately things some time come around. And this kind of boards are many times misunderstood. Sad
IMO, it's a risk that some of us shouldn't take it.

Exactly WaldoJ, I would LOVE to share the name of it, some other info and stuff. It's kinda hard for people to understand why the fuck am I posting on nfohump. Still, it's not a huuuge mag, but i'd rather keep the name to myself. I wouldnt want devs to shut the door on me after they find out I post on these forums. ( Certain people had issues with valve in the past, not me, but other friends, because of piracy and acc selling).

No, definitely nothing wrong with that. But then, I can see Ankh's point - the EotB/DM genre has been massively forgotten about, and even if Grimrock is slightly better than average (or should I say, even if you only like it a bit), I think it's worth giving the developers money for going out on a limb. Plus, the more people buy it, the more chance they'll support it, and add stuff.
