Doh.. I hadn't checked EmuCR. I was looking on the G.Code page and NGemu. Thanks guys. So glad to see NullDC is still under development, it's a far easier to use emulator than Makaron - even if Makaron is more accurate.

Always thought NullDC ran Shenmue better then Makaron.

To be honest, as accurate as Makaron is, I never use it. The only game I ever used it for was Record of Lodoss War - since NullDC used to crash when Dynarec was enabled and the game was half-speed without Dynarec. Now that the crash issue has been fixed in NullDC, I've binned Makaron. I don't like the author, I find him to be arrogant and conceited - especially his rants about piracy (despite him downloading hacked copies of games himself), and I don't really like that DC emulation was pretty much abandoned in favour of Naomi instead.

It's just an alternative to NullDC. I personally don't use it, though the recent 0.57 version is gearing more towards arcade stuff, such as Naomi/Model3/AtomisWave.

I can't get Record of Lodoss War (GDI format.. a point of fact; I can't get *any* GDI images to run) to work on Demul, thus; bin Very Happy This is what happens when you start catering to everything at once.. it breaks shit. I understand Naomi and Katana emulation being parallel, I get that, but Model3? Atomiswave? What is the point? Ah well, NullDC spanks it anyhow.

I finished the first god of war on pcsx2 just the other night and it was great. The game was flawless with the emulator.

I recommend it to everyone who wants to play this great game and doesnt own a ps2.

I just finished Ghost of Sparta on PSP and its time for GOW2 on PCSX2. GOW2 is working without problems, too.

I finally figured out how to make the analog shooting work with the 360 controller in MGS3, I just assigned the square to the right trigger (using the lilypad), in this way the emulator recognizes it as pressure sensitive button Razz

Yeah I'm still at the very beginning but it's definitely a good game, I need to improve my skills with the controller though, my aiming is desperately bad Razz. I end up alarming the whole camp every damn time Laughing

i2500k @4.3Ghz
8GB ram ddr3
gtx570

I'm using this version -> http://down.emucr.com/v2/mjqpjgsqkzni1jl

with basically the default plugins:
 Spoiler:

3x native resolution, DX11, MSAA 2x, no speedhacks enabled.

The performance is great, 60fps all the time. I didn't notice any graphical/sound bugs so far, everything's stable. Smile

Just checked, GPU load was around 20% while the CPU reached the ~30-40% Smile

Haha, I was the same. Very Happy My first playthrough was a massacre. I kept shooting everyone cause I kept raising alarm and whatnot. But on my 2nd one I was really stealthy and playing "by the book" Imo, MGS3 is the best one out of the first 3 games. (I haven't played MGS4 so dunno about that one)

I just finished playing a very old SNES RPG called Live-A-Live. The game was amazing and had a story and concepts ahead of its time. Definitely a must play! (From the creators of the SNES FF games)

DL the TL from here:
http://agtp.romhack.net/project.php?id=lal

A walkthrough (use only when you get stuck, but its a must to get the best ending):
http://shrines.rpgclassics.com/snes/lal/index.shtml

While not necessary, start from the "robo" level first to get a grasp on the mechanics.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

For those of you interesed in Nintendo DS emulation:

New official version of DeSmuME 0.9.8 has been released. Smile There's no detailed changelog, except for brief:

DeSmuME team wrote:
There’s a brand new top shelf Cocoa frontend to make life far more pleasant for OSX users, and a host of compatibility fixes.

Official page or link to download section. You can also check new builds updated frequently on EmuCR.

As for gaming, well, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow works fine. Smile

That FPS counter is of course hidden by default.

Can Overlord: Dark Legend be emulated and played decently with keyboard and mouse or gamepad? If it can, what do I need to download?

Even at the start, near the alligators and around there? No FPS dips? I may have to try again if so

Yup, the latest version of the emulator (the one posted above) doesn't give me any framerate problem, while with the old one..well things were quite different Razz

The door to safety is shut.
There is no turning back...

 Spoiler:

I'm pleasantly surprised seeing how well Resident Evil 0 performs on recent revisions of Dolphin. There are no glitches nor graphics errors (looks definitely better in-game than on the above screens), except for ugly scanning artifacts and noticeable aliasing of pre-rendered environment but I guess not much can be done about that... Sound is OK, although not perfect. I can hear minor clicks and crackles every now and then, however, it's very rare and hardly annoying. It would probably get even better by using LLE DSP emulation, alas, my CPU is apparently to weak for it. Normally I manage to achieve constant 30 FPS and experience brief slowdowns only during camera position changes. (Either has something to do with textures decoding, which always was quite heavy with Dolphin or maybe real GameCube worked that way. Hard to tell.)

Regarding the game itself. I haven't played much but I liked it thus far. Looks definitely more promising than recently announced RE6. Cool Face I like the atmosphere in this one: abandoned train, zombies, heavy rain outside the window, B-class movie dialogs, etc. There are probably some puzzles later in the game but till now I only had to deal with finding appropriate keys.

And as for saving: typewriters + ink ribbon + a room with soothing tune in a background. So Much Win
