The downloader just sits there doing nothing for me. Says "starting download" of the first file (TW2EE_Patch-2.bin) and it makes a 0 byte copy of the file in the dl directory, but the firewall never even flags it as trying to access the internet. Is there some drawn out initial period before the dl starts?

No it should start immediately, does the installer have permission to write to that directory?
(Is UAC enabled and if it is just right click and run the program with administrative rights.)
That said the download began at 7.5 MB/s and is now down t 300 KB/s so there's definitively a lot of traffic or so it seems.

It's not that. UAC is off.
Can't exit the thing either. It just sits there. You can kill the exe process, but there's also a tmp process that refuses to die, although taskkill eventually gets rid of it.

Odd. Just left it sitting there and after a while it seemed to time out, then after hitting retry it started working. Weird.

By the size of the patch i guess it will probably replace the 10 gigs file in CrookedPC folder as well as binaries folder.
