heh, yeah i hope they do something cool for you guys when the beta ends, i remember when the CoX beta ended - suddenly - as positron's signature attack killed every player on the server at once.

Well what CAN they do? It's not like you can get all players in an area to fight some huge boss considering it's only 4 players max per game.
Maybe some kind of mutator where all mobs look like WoW gnomes. I'd have fun slaughtering those for the last day of beta...secret gnome level har har.

The Burning Legion launched an attack on the major cities and locations of Azeroth at the end of the beta. Some epic shit. I had a level 42 Human Rogue back then. 
To bad WoW is just a shell of its past glory at this point. |

i hate to say it, but that's the problem with "beta" these days too, it's called beta for a reason, it's for testing, if they weren't going to wipe everything when it's over they'd call it a head start.

It may or may not be intentional as there has been no announcement as far as I know but the beta is currently open to all accounts. Simply log in with the beta client and it will work even without a D3 license on the account.
It appears to be an implementation of a trial version as there's an upgrade account button.
Try it while you can, all you guys who didn't get the chance so far!

This actually does make sense, offering a 2-week open beta to drum up some more interest.
