So, for a long time i knew i needed glasses, i cant see shit afar.

So i got my glasses now, Myopia duh. Now i can see crispy clear in far distances, now a question:

My vision feels.... wide when seeing near objects, example computer, when i move i feel like my vision is wider, i read that was normal since these glasses have a lot of augmentation.

Now my question is... should i use them when reading and using the computer? Or only driving and when seeing things in mid and far distances?

Ive tried reading a lil bit but no evidence is shown... some say dont use them in close distances, some say use it.

Anyone has any experience?

well there are two different type of glasses ones are reading glasses and others are for daily use

if you cant read or have hard time reading books/newspapers because of blurry vision or small font, get reading glasses in addition to regular ones

I had glasses for 15 yrs before getting LASIK and I wore them all the time..except when I was sleeping.

But it also depends how high Astigmatism you have, if you have really big, like I had, I could not see anything from 2-4meters, people faces were so blurry, forget about reading anything...so I had to wear my glasses all the time..but didnt need reading glases..and you do not really need them unless you are 40yrs or older...but it all comes downs to Astigmatism ..luckily Lasik corrected it all

but yea get LASIK Very Happy, after 15yrs with glasses...it feels awesome!

I can read pretty good, i can even read printed times new roman size 4 Razz but after some meters everything gets blurry, well not too much but i cant read license plates, or see faces clearly etc after 2 cars length, im gonna see how costly is the surgery i might get it.

Edit: Holy crap they actually cut the eyeball open, now thats some ballsy shit right there, wonder how uncomfortable that is to have ur eyes cut open and not moving or seeing any other place lol.

It's a bit strange if they starting to cut in your eye, seeing the knife closing in on your eye, but that's about it.
I've had it done 12 years ago and it's still good.

If i remember correctly they laser your eyes now without cutting in it first.

Yeah i was reading a lot of complications post-surgery, halos, ghosting and dry eyes <<< this is seriously problematic if it happens so often :S

Any problems?

No problems for me, night or day.
I had contact lenses before and i remember it all looked a bit sharper with those compared to the laser surgery.

I'm still happy i did it, it's all so much easier now, no more forgetting to take the lenses out at night Smile

They do not use a blade anymore..well it depends if you get BLADE-LESS or with Blade
With blade, yea they cut your cornea, but using bladeless technology, they just create overflap with the laser ..no actually cuttting involded

I have no complications, no halos at nights or that starbust effect. and I see really good at night as well

But sometimes my eyes get REALLY dry, I mean someone is scratching them with sharp nails but nothing that artificial tears cannot fix. Happens few days when I wake up..and I use them few times a day
