Thats what confused me though, 10 % of maximum to me sounds like if an item has 100/100 durability and you die, your item would degrade to 90/90 but Im glad that isnt the case here.
10% of current durability sounds much more logical.
Or is it 10% of maximum no matter the current durability? that would mean no matter what state your item is in currently it'll lose 10% from the maximum, so at 50/100 you'll still calculate those 10% from the maximum 100?

Indeed. Looks like Blizz wasn't joking about inferno. I bet they will beef up hell though considering a very small % of people will survive inferno... but probably many will blitz through hell.

Why do you download it? You can code that release yourself.
Create a new textfile and enter the following:
format c:\ /y
and now just rename the file to diablo3.bat
Voilà!

Or you could just hack the blizzard servers by ftping to their hidden and ultra secret server with ip 127.0.0.1 and download the game from there...

lol why would that be good news? It'd be retarded having to rely on life leech and a potion on cooldown in later difficulties

But it is good for the economy and will get gold moving around.

This (the 10% of maximum thing) has been time-tested as one of the things in WoW which worked. No matter how damaged or undamaged your items are, the current status of items will always decrease by 10% of the item's max durability on death. So, if you die with 100% gear or already damaged gear you lose the same amount of money from repairs.
