no its always up. if its ever down something MAJORLY went wrong..think im the last year, its been down maybe a few hours total (java crashes, ect..and auto restart didnt catch it)
but its still 1.1, 1.2.4 will be this weekend..we had like 30+plugns. ALL of them quiet working when I tested 1.2.4... get that sorted this week.

whats the error? does the player count and such show up for you?
easist way to see if its up, is check the site, and the map..since its dynmap it driven by the bukkit server itself, it goes down the map does.

any of you or your friends have a spare account or account they wont use anymore? friend asked to join his minecraft server but looking at the price of 20 dollars i dont know if its worth buying when i never used it before. figured it doesnt hurt to ask.
Anyone have suggestions as to what programs i should use to setup, admin etc... i dont know anything about minecraft so it would take me a while to find out what is important and what is not.
The basic server you literally just run and log in to, nothing to it. If you want mods and stuff, it gets a bit more involved. Forget that wiki page tho, just go with Bukkit or Tekkit, both are really easy to setup.
Yeah the ones I've tried haven't crashed that much either, but I still wouldn't start a long-term world with those builds since they've sometimes been incompatible with release builds. Unless you don't mind continuing to play with said dev builds, of course.
yeah same hehe. Only tried thaumcraft 2 tho, not 2.1 (since i only played technic and dev build was only up to 1.2.3, which only had TC 2.0.2 and not 2.1 with the better research etc).
I never got around playing minecraft (at all).
But today's giantbomb quick look might make me finally try it.
I see its not free. Is isodemo fully playable? What do I need to know about this? I guess it might be kinda harsh going in fresh.

edit: I don't know if its fault of java or isodemo but it works like shit. I get good fps but feels terrible and looks even worse than 360 quick look on giantbomb.

Should I install something? I just downloaded some minecraft version 1.2.5 and it just runs. I pick myself a name and then skip login to offline mode.
I am running everything maxed out except distance at normal. Weird there is no resolution but as I can see it doesnt use gpu "too much"

Ah, yes, I do remember ye olde server. I never quite got around to finishing my obsidian maze as I kept running out of obsidian and it was a huge maze. Luckily, I started my own server and finished it there. It's even better with some server-side mods that disallow any mining whatsoever. And Sin is right, starting off in creation mode will lead to this game letting you down, and fast. I remember the first time I crafted glass, it was a very elating feeling that I had just created something from something else inside of a video game. Of course, I had to mine the stone first, then the coal, then build the furnace, and put coal in it, then get some sand to melt into glass. I also remember the early duping glitches that I found that allowed me to dupe almost anything. Especially dynamite!. Ah, memories...
