So what if it's two discs, if you're on a JTAG with the latest FSD - unpack the game like this:
\Games\Max Payne 3
then in that, create two folders, Disc 1 and Disc 2 - then unpack each disc into their respective folders. Worked like a charm with for example Mass Effect 3, which needs disc swaps a number of times. It swaps automatically and it takes about 2 seconds after the "Please insert disc 2"-message comes up.

That's true for the PS3.
The whole game is completely upped on usenet and complete from what I can tell.
It's in my queue, I will enjoy playing this after I get home from another shitty day at work.

Playing it right now , OMG  for me it's fantastic in every aspect..I so doubted this game , Im so glad I was wrong. I adore R games , and I really hope PC version is optimized properly..

Played 4 chapters until now. There are no comic-book style scenes anymore. Everything is done with ingame graphics. Graphics are very good on the 360, it will look wonderful on the PC. Framerate is alright, no bad hickups or anything but still no constant 30 fps.
Controls are so-so. It is similar to most other shooters, but in this game you need really precise aiming. Getting headshots is really important, because you need to kill enemies fast and most wear body armor. Gamepad gets the job done, but for once you feel that this game was made for K+M. Thank god for that actually, this game definitely has NOT been derped down for the gamepad.
With weapons it's quite like besthijacker wrote. You can have 2 small guns (pistols or Uzis) and 1 rifle. If you dual-wield (yes, you can mix any 2 handguns you want, i.e. revolver + uzi) Max will drop the rifle, as he just holds it in his free hand. This is different from the past games, but it doesn't feel dumbed down, it actually fits the whole setting with Max just going along and taking what he can get.
So far the different setting is a bit disturbing, but until now no bald Max  Will probably come later. There was one level in Ney York (ok, New Jersey  ) until now, that was really great and actually hurt a bit because I wanted the whole game to be like this...

Not that I know. You can find golden parts of certain guns, but I don't know what happens if you find all of them. But apart from that this is a linear shooter, no sidemissions probably.
