Does the BF2 key come covered up(Under a scratch pad)? Or is it like a standard CD-KEY on the back of the jewel case?
These Key sites seem very very shaddy. I just cant see the software companies condoning them. But if they work and are not illegal, go for it.

Read the thread and it's explained. They buy from overseas suppliers where the games are sold cheaper. The keys work on all copys. This isnt anyone opening boxes at Wal-Mart. How else would Gamekeystore gotten 300+ keys for Battlefield 2?

There really is none. World of Warcraft is one of those pristine things that isn't even sold in Thailand yet... and when it is will be limited to the Thai servers only.

That's why you get clone releases. I paid 30 dollars less for my BF 2 key then if I bought it retail. I never need to worry about patches. Pretty good deal I think.

its legal, but really close to being not.. cause companies ONLY sell keys to high-rate of piracy countries, hoping to get some buck from it.. its not intended for sale in the west.. at least thats my theory...

Games aren't that cheap in asia (if you don't buy them for 3$ on the flea market), so i still don't see how this business plan works, you have to pay for shipping and handling too. And the only contact info i found is a totally anonymous gmail address (besides the name you get if you whois the domain). I'm curious how long this will last.

there's no doubt selling (and so buying) cd keys that way is completely illegal, even if they buy retail boxes in thailandia or so...
asia versions have a sticker on them that say "asia version only, forbidden to sell in every other country" or something like that.
i suggest noone buys theese cdkey

Ok, enough with the confusion here folks, here is the dish on GKS: it is one young man (age 16 - 28) in Midwest America. He lives very close to various Wal-Mart, Meijer, Best Buy, Circuit City and Target retail stores. He opens boxes at these retail stores and copies down the information (i.e., the cd-key). The chances of someone asking him, "What are you doing?" is fairly high as he visits the stores several times a week so he targets the stores that have a fairly lax "opening" policy. His excuse to any store employee that may walk up to him and ask him what exactly he is doing, is simply, "Copying down the game code so I can contact customer support. I accidently threw out my box when I bought this game last week."
Most employees will not recognize that he is actually stealing the CD-key for the game and will simply let him on his way, as it is not against store-policy to open a box to copy down some harmless information.
He uses a database program to store all the cd-keys he collects and sells them over time. Newer games are easy pickings as retail stores like Best Buy and Wal-Mart often carry large amounts. This guy gets the keys anyway he can. When WarCraft III came out, all he had to do was quickly peel off the sticker that held the cd-key on it. When Guild Wars came out, it was a little harder as he had to take the time to carefully and inconspicuously as possible, scratch off the lotto-ticket-style protective film over the cd-key. This made him nervous, as now he wasn't just copying down information, he was technically vandalizing the product; he knew that any store employee who caught him doing this, wouldn't think twice to take a closer look at the box. His chances of getting caught were higher and he was more nervous. There's your answer to why it took him so long to send you your Guild Wars key.
He purchases a domain-name and fairly simple file server and hosts his own key-selling site. After the 60 dollars for a whole year of domain and host costs paid off selling the keys for the game, it's pure profit.
So ladies and gents, there you have it. This man is a fairly young, inexperienced "social engineer". The choice to purchase the keys he sells, is of course your own.

Eric pissed me off.
EDIT: BTW, he has various alter-ego's (e.g., the forums). He knows that if he makes his "business" look like it has more than one person running it, more people will be interested; he thinks it wont look like one guy trying to screw the "customer".

He's been leeching games and stealing keys from stores to play online for a few years as far as I know, but only for personal use up until when he started the site.
I'm not saying don't buy from him, I'm just saying consider what you're paying for.

I also provide CD Key scans for Battlefield 2 if you want them. They are Thailand imports. I ordered another 100 in for Tuesday and orders are now open for those who have been waiting. And please, if you believe somebody named n00bCentral about me stealing hundreds of CD Keys, I assure you it's BS |
Yeah, right, business is boomin' isn't it? You've sold probably, what, 40 keys by now? Ordering hundreds of games from Thailand and Asia. ROFLMAO

I've sold over 170 keys of BF2, around 420 orders since April when I started. Any more mindless questions? It's easy enough to go on eBay and find boxed import games from Thailand, if you've never stuck your head out of the cage they are there for much cheaper...
