I have the legit version, but it won't detect my saves from the DLC unlocked cracked version. Pretty annoying. I even bought the two DLCs separately - but I want to play with the 3rd one - and I can't find a way to do that legally.
Oh how I loathe the concept of DLC.

Don't be cruel!
Is there some site where I can better check this kind of release?
I already started over once - after 15 hours. I wanted to go against form, and try voodoo - but I found it too fiddly and I sold a lot of ingredients on an inaccessible island. So I tried Muskets - and I find them too overpowered.
I'm considering starting again now, where Blades are better - but I'm 20 hours in again. I will probably be too tired of the first islands - but I can't wait long for this fucking crack patch. D3 is coming next week!

I'd wait with D3 - but I've taken a couple of days off for D3 to play with some friends. So, I can't really play Risen 2 during that time.

Well, I'm only 20 hours in - and apart from it being set in a "caribbean type setting" - I think it's one of the most varied games I've played.
I've loved every second of exploring the locations, so far.

I wouldn't call that varied in the least. As a PB fan, I'd say Gothic 2... actually, Gothic 3 even (with its snowy/green/desert areas), shits on everything in comparison to this game, and that's saying something. Even the first game felt better with its beach/forest/town/school/volcano areas. This literally feels like they got lazy with the assets and had to reform the same thing again and again.

It's true that Gothic 3 had 3 different areas - but exploration was negatively affected in a big way, because loot was random and the explorable areas themselves were incredibly similar. The story was very basic - and characters had much less dialogue. The quests were simplistic and you had almost no C&C.
Reuse of models has always been a part of PB games, but I think Risen 2 is better than every single one of them.
While I agree that islands are samey, it does fit with the setting - and all locations are obviously handcrafted with hand-placed loot. This, to me, is a LOT more interesting than the completely generic crap found in Oblivion and Gothic 3.
The story is full of diverse characters with plausible dialogue that makes good sense given their persona.
Overall, I think Risen 2 is the best PB game I've played as of yet. That said, I've yet to finish it. I'm not even halfway through it.
