it was banable since d2. (i had a working injector mod which alowed me to move whatever i want from ui where ever i want + extra rezolution option), and i got a ban. taked me 4 petition with screens, fraps logs to unban me.
you can use tv sharpness /color effects function, have the same result. there are some monitor with the same options to.
all memory injectors are banable. (if dark3d filter is not an injector, it is safe).

I think it's via FXAA so yeah it's a injector.
(Unsure how they would detect it, though I guess it could scan for certain changes even if it's from files like d3d9.dll or similar, maybe especially when it's from some form of system file not doing quite what it should.)

Can someone please explain to me the hardcore thing to me? I know you get only 1 life there, so when you die the game is over. But that means you can play like: normal normal or with hardcore, normal hell or hardcore hell, normal nightmare or hardcore nightmare....is it like this? And can you complete the game, including inferno without ever touching hardcore mode? Is hardcore like an option only? Thanks

Once you've leveled one character to level 10, you can start a hardcore character. It's just a tick in the character creation which will prevent that char from using RMAH and also be permanently deleted once it dies.
There's no benefit except for e-peen and special achievements.

It's exactly the same as normal, but with permadeath. You can progress through same difficulties as in normal mode, but you mustn't die.

don't forget the lack of the RMAH on hardcore.

Somehow I'm glad I didn't use it in the Beta. I would propably pretty mad now. This way, it's no loss to me personally.
Still, I'm not happy with that statement but on the other hand, maybe it's for the better when I think back about dupes and MHs.

It's not even a cheat. It's a sharpness filter, for crying out loud. A FILTER! It brings no advantage or disadvantage to anybody, not the player nor the server nor Blizzard nor anybody else. It doesn't even touch ANY game files!

But it makes it different, and it gives you an advantage or can be used to give you an advantage. And then there is real money here to be made from items, an advantage can not be accepted how small it may be.
