Doesn't work because it depends on the region your Bnet Account is registered with. It's not an IP block or something.

well you could play on all realms, but you can only use the asian RMAH.
so yeah it would still not be a good idea :-)

Didn't Blizzard say there will be something like a realm transfers. You can play freely with one account on all servers but your stuff and level won't be trasfered or such? Can't remember the exact sentence they used.

Was very easy using an Asian VPN to get the game to install, guess one could take it a step further but It's not really worth it considering time left till midnight.

You need Asian version of the game in order to play on asian servers until global play is activated (which will be after all region will have Diablo 3 unlocked) so you wouldn't be able to play now even with a VPN.
