Everyone's right; this group IS supposed to be fun and that's fine .. but what's fun about the same five or six people being the only gifters to 90 other Oliver's with their hands out? It sure as hell isn't fun to me.

just a thought... and dont bite my head off again... but why not start all over again? just make a new group, but this time, let the admins use their own judgement rather than an arbitrary join date/post count as means of entry? |

I didn't bite your head off last time, I made an observation based on your current standing. If you had won 0 times and the same 2-3 people were winning 20+ you would have the same opinion as me; that it's unfair on the rest of the group and that "win limited" giveaways are acceptable .. no matter the contents. It doesn't matter if it was Max Payne 3 or Dinner Date being given away, the fact is; it's only fair to let some of the more unfortunate members have a bigger chance at winning.
Something I just tried to do and pretty much had people piss in my fucking face, acting like the rules don't apply to them.
Like I said earlier, RazorsEdge and I are going to be skimming the fat later tonight because it's getting out of hand now. We'll clean the group up on a case-by-case basis and then that's that. If there's going to be any kicking off, then let it happen, but this is long overdue.

Yeah, I totally see your point.
The contributor-only giveaways would be useful if you could really have control over the options - allow people who haven't won in the past 6 months, but have contributed X number of games, for example. But, since they're still ironing out the bugs, it's irrelevant for what's happening now anyways.

Yeah, some configuration on who is allowed to join a giveaway would be great. This contributor thing is definitely a good step forward -- we could set giveaways based on recent history and contribution, such as;

If you can't afford a $10 gift every month or two, then really.. you have no way of contributing and a small group just isn't viable for you.

All clearly read the description and joined anyway, despite the fact that all of them were prohibited. It's a $2 game and yet they still didn't respect me, or the group, enough to follow the VERY simple instructions.

I'm quite sure some people just open giveaway, click Enter and are done with it. Without reading description or writing "thanks" or smth.
Also, strange how some names enter every giveaway there is for games that they don't own yet. I refuse to believe they like and want to play all games from all the different genres out there...
