Does ctrl-v work for you then? It doesn't for me, I have to type the pass - if I ctrl-v it says "account info is invalid" or some such. |
you have to copy password from a clear written source, not scrambled/hidden.

So fucking jelly now...Money didn't come as fast I thought, so game have to wait...FUU, about those guess passes/starter edition or w/e they're called, how long you can play? Same as beta?

Suffice to say, EVEVERYONE i played with yesterday(+7 people) had to copy from notepad or they would get that error, but good for you.

I did that in the beta and it worked fine, but it doesn't work now. I tried countless times yesterday and today -- if I ctrl+v the asterisked password, it ALWAYS gives me the Error 315300; invalid account info. If I type it manually, it logs me in.

What happens when everybody finds all items ?
How can you make money from the AH if thats the case ?

Someome said something about closing agent.exe and that might work but it hasn't for me.
You could try it tho... 
If you are stuck with "Retrieving hero list" you need to Alt-Tab, open the Task Manager in windows and end the "Agent" process in the list.
Once you do this and go back to the game the screen will change and you can select your Hero and begin to play!

It may not work first try.
Here is a post on page 3 from a guy it worked for..
"After the third attempt at this, it actually worked. Though unless you're able to get past the 317002 error code, you won't be playing either way.
It basically came down to getting the login status to "Retrieving Hero List". After ending the Agent.exe process you then alt-tab back into D3, cancel the login and try again until you can get the retrieval status.
May have been our luck, and maybe not. Either way, I've been attempting to log in for the last three hours and this has been the furthest progress I've come across. It beats Blizzard help anyway."

The agent process is linked to the Diablo 3's login process. I can only theorise that shutting down the agent process cuts the connection properly and somehow allows us to get into the game properly.

Ok, after playing about 18 hours non-stop I just beat the game on normal. And it was awesome.
It took me the better part of 2 hours to beat the final boss (won't spoil his name ;P ) because silly me geared his wizardess as glass-canon as possible. On level 32 with all buffs I had 712 dps, every enemy in the last act and even champions and bosses died in a couple of seconds... as long as they did not touch me. Because I also died after 1 or 2 shots, and the final boss has some very very annoying habits of using unescapeable damage-over-time curses and teleportation right in your face.
Excellent game, will play plenty more over the next few days.

I played for about 9 hours and reached the final boss in Normal right before the servers went down for maintenance and I'm freakin LOVING this game. Can't wait to get into Nightmare, I felt so powerful then got my ass kicked twice by the last boss! And in Nightmare he has like 20 times the HP of normal, gonna be fun!
