Played 5 missions now and iv got to say... you won't miss out if you choose not to play it.
This would have passed as a "good" game 6-7 years back... but now its just another average TPS game. This game does nothing new worth doing...
gfx is ok, gameplay is ok. the story is boring. The game is lacking in squad humor like warfare games should have.
6/10... its not a really bad game, just uninteresting.
If you want a military themed shooter, it's ok. I think it's better than most military FPS out there, at least you get to chose an approach here, witch is more than I can say for CoD/BF/MoH.
And some gadgets + the gunsmith option are a nice touch.

I just completed it (yeah what a shock )
Anyway, it got A LOT better when you reached Russia. So about 1/3 of the game suck, so it doesn't make up for everything. But after that it gets more existing. The missions doesn't feel like meaningless deja vu like the beginning.
The most fun was the sneaking and sniper parts. There are also some good old "machine gun from helicopter fun" too

my IMO : its a game co-op game with a short 4h long training mission aka sp campaign ... missions structure and the whole gameplay mechanic is similar to Lost Planet 2 ... both games have great graphics but both games SUCK if you play them ALONE
6+/10 for the sp presentation if you buy game only for SP
9/10 if you play it in co-op

Forgot to mention, this game was actually way longer than I thought!
Used 10-11 hours to complete. 12 or 13 missions, most of them are just under an hour, so lots of gameplay time
WOW, this game actually got 5/6 by a norwegian magazine. I don't agree with that rating, but id probably give it 7.5/10 playing with a friend.
And besides the AI in this game is very fast to revive you if you're down. Your life in AIs hands sucks, but it works in this game
thats why i gave this game two scores one for the SP campaign thats UBICRAPTASTIC the other for Co-op
i play this game now on my ps3 and its great... the coop/multiplayer modes that is other then that if you play it for SP go skip it... and if you ask WHY its scored so high well most of the time when i am on ps3 i play two games online Killzone and Socom and the coop is SO Socom like its
Stupid me i burned this game but i forgot about the online pass . Tried the online but LMAO it's still a p2p lag fest, why would they dare to ask money for an online pass for that garbage

Guess what? The old Ghost Recon games were fun. Lots of games that don't actively assist every single solitary thing that you do are also fun. This isn't 'fun' because that isn't true for everybody, this is just your idea of fun. You're enjoying it because you don't mind being helped at every turn, clearly this isn't a trait that most fans of Ghost Recon share for incredibly obvious reasons.
ehm you played Ghost Recon tactic fps series on PC but not on consoles ... on those this game was ALWAYS A TPS ACTION SHOOTER
Ghost Recon even if the name was the same there where always two different games , diffrent maps , different STORY LINE and ending
heck even Splinter Cell Double Agent on Xbox360/pc/Ps3 is different then on Xbox/PS2... different story line , maps and ending
