awesome news, I can definitely understand why they're not going realtime isometric, Sacred 2 had a lot of 'loyal' fans around here as well who were quick to pirate it. I applaud larian for returning to turnbased gameplay and will definitely be buying the game.

Yawn. If you weren't trolling, you'd know that Larian never did turn-based software with which to return to. Oh and by the way; Sacred 2 is Ascaron. Nice trolling Epsi, you are slipping though Very Happy

Not MP only, just MP focused. You *can* play SP, but it's being designed for MP predominantly.

its designed for coop and if you play it single - you control both characters

A shame it's turn based. It would have been a pretty much perfect game if it was all real time. Sad

Yes.. and you basically just said what I already said. "You can play SP but it's being for MP predominantly"

Not too excited.. but turned based could be interesting. I can see why they made it turn based because the combat in Beyond Divinity was retarded because of there being two PCs. But that begs the question of why they are going the BD route instead of the DD route... beyond me. I'd rather have a single character to control as it was in DD.

And graphics wise it looks like a cross between Dungeon Siege and Torchlight... skewed more towards Torchlight and its cartoonyness.. so not thrilled with the visual direction.

I hope they get the same guy who's composed all the music from the previous games.. he does some amazing stuff.

Well, I don't see how it being coop based would detract from the single player gameplay, considering the combat is turn based.

Exactly.

What I do find interesting is that they made coop function well for story (like two characters arguing what to choose, and roll deciding whose decision is final).

Great news. Turn-based combat (nicely implemented on top of that) and co-op? Count me in!

Turn based = turn on. Real-time with pause is an aberration, and real-time doesn't lend itself well to isometric tactical gameplay if you ask me (e.g. Jagged Alliance 2 > JA:BiA).

Damn, I'm excited for this game. And co-op could be interesting indeed.

The clickety-click RT combat was easily the worst aspect of DivDiv. TB can only mean incline, even if it's a really basic implementation, which it likely will be. But if they went the Fallout Tactics route to appease both crowds that would work for me as well.
