Story is interesting, but all this damn dry ass gameplay leaves me completely bored. And people say mmo's are generic. This has the most generic gameplay i've seen in a long time, and i'm not even half way through. 50 damn enemies every single room you enter.

Yes, the shooting aspect is pretty generic. To me, mp1 and mp2 (which I recently replayed) feel much more solid, when it comes to shooting. I can't exactly say why, but the cover mechanics, that you are sometimes forced in to sure don't help...

Well after 2 days of trying this and that to get this thing running I finally did it!! Not sure what I did after so much fuckin' around...REVOLT...Reloaded....block .exes firewall holyshit...got really fucked up..I have been doing this crack thing since jesus was a baby(homo reference!! LOL!) I am at Chapter 2...can see how the shooting aspect and bullet time become a real bore...but holyshit what a story...gritty...dirty....violent...right up my man cave alley....I just don't think it is worth $60....JMO

Got to love how Max is so hilariously depressive; "No one's gonna reboot his system". The game is good though, the feel of the original games is still there.

Okay, but why did they have to make it this shallow social commentary? I have met a lot of rich people, and most are decent hard working fellows. I have also met a lot of people like Marcello here in Romania, and they do have money, but they have no class at all, and they usually never made a cent in their lives, they have rich and ignorant daddies. Does that mean all rich are undeserving of their wealth, and that a game should make fun of trickle down economics (which by the way is empirically proven to be correct)?
There are some themes, that if you touch in a piece of art, then I expect it to be developed well and presented well likewise. MP3 fails at this, and would be a much stronger narrative if they left this angle out altogether. |
Neither Rodrigo nor Giovanna are portrayed as brainless morons if you bother to follow the story. Max first has contempt for the entire family, but as the story goes on and the events take place, he grows to respect Rodrigo and like Giovanna. How long did you play? |

Chapt VI, I think. Right at the time, where he comments, that helicopters are rich people's toys, so they could look down upon the poor not only figuratively but literally speaking as well. His comments are correct in the context of the surroundings. I guess, next you'll argue there are no slums in Brazil, and it's all a cheap commentary.  |

Come now, no need to exagerate, what I claimed. All I claimed was, that this is shallow social commentary, and could be done with way more finesse. I didn't deny the existence of slums.

I'm really liking it so far, but how can a game from such an "uber" developer sport those dumb gun cutscene transitions (enter room -> cutscene -> wow 6 thugs -> here's your single 9mm max, have fun! oh what, you had the FAL selected? what a shame) and retard checkpoints (already caught two where you begin by being shot at and with no way to dodge atleast 2-3 bullets)...

The saves are Account specific, you cant "Import" them from another account, i tried that with RLD --> My Account progression, had no success.

I can max everything out on a 470 and still always get above 60fps so i think you'll be okay.

I also got no idea why are people calling the game generic and bad. I LOVE the shooting, I love the attention to details, it's insane. Really enhances the experience. I only played it for a bit, I'm gonna see and buy that key on Monday hopefully.

Depends on the game. EG. BF3 uses in-game but for Alan Wake you have to set it in NVidia's Control Panel.
