I hope you can become the Vampire Lord AND still be a Werewolf, otherwise dat shit be gay yo' Razz
I'd hate to re-roll a new character and go through the whole game and NOT pick joining The Circle of The Companions just so I can become a Vampire Lord in the new DLC.

That was covered earlier, it's still one or the other.
(Which is why Werewolves get some enhancements as well.)

EDIT: You can (Once the Companion quest line is completed.) cure yourself of that affliction but it's probably best to wait until you've completed the specific quests for it.
(Those totems and curing the Circle members whom want to be cured, I've never gotten either to trigger though.)

ho yeah, was always wondering what these totems do. Thank you. Still playing Skyrim after 260 hours up to now ( have reached today level 60 on a second playthrough, BTW the glass armor is cool, hope it will be the same for the daedric armor too ).

You mean Morgan webb? She used to look so freaking weird when she was on The Screen Savers. She used to look like a drag queen with massive amounts of makeup and eye liner

So what's the current state of gameplay mods? Still nothing major that might fix this game?

Still in beta on the PC platform, with the above I imagine that will be over this week though and it'll be pushed out for everyone.

Nothing major. As expected, the unofficial patch will clean the game nicely after Bethesda will finish releasing the DLC.

Bethesda launches the PC updates on Tuesday or Thursday, usually, so we'll have to wait 'till then.

This patch lays the groundwork for getting the Dawnguard DLC functional, it's not listed in the changelog but it has code for the new perk trees (vampire one especially.) and a number of new functions such as the "showlimitedracemenu" script command used by the "barber" the DLC will provide (Or in this mod already since the function is fully usable http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17753 ) and it adds support for crossbows and of course the mounted combat addition but that's a listed change.

No doubt there will be a second patch as well or at least I think so.
(Then again the exe might already have all code needed since the beta for the X360 version should kick off quite soon with the full DLC late next month apparently, means the PC and PS3 versions might see it towards the end of August then.)

The second DLC seems to be named Hearth Fire

No other informations about it, though.

Surely there must be a mod that makes you able to become both vampire and werewolf. Like in Underworld where the dude becomes a new breed. That would be awesome..

Not that would be cool Smile

But I'm sure one of the first mods for Dawn Guard will be that you can be both Vampire Lord and Werewolf

It works just fine as long as you don't use a bow or spells, you can't use spells whatsoever and bow aiming is near impossible outside of short range and even then it's difficult, you also can't really fight shorter enemies efficiently. Smile
(There's a lot of posts about this on the official forums since the 1.6 beta release.)

So it's not in Tamriel, then...

By the looks of the map, indeed, it doesn't seem to.
