Spectacular game, wasn't it? Even the "hurr durr console!1" Dreamfall was - and still is - fantastic. I just wish Ragnar would get back to it already Crying or Very sad Oh! One more! The game wasn't all that good, it was fun but nothing special, the INTRO was ace though Very Happy

Phenomenal game, shame it was hamstrung by really appalling loading speeds Sad I got around halfway through the game but never really went back to it, nor even after NXE was released and the ability to install games for quicker loading was available. I think I might go back Very Happy

I'm also going to be doing another run of Prey, once the release date for Prey 2 gets closer. That was a seriously underrated game.

battlezone intro

i just love the whole premise of a massive secret war in space during the cold war
they should do a film about this
like an iron sky prequel kind of deal

carmageddon intro

love the use of the soundtrack
sounds like a ballsy car engine

all thief cutscenes

i just love these
they're like moving paintings
(of course also my hammerite imperium intro ;)

Lost Odyssey was more of an FF game then FFXI, XII and XIII put together.

Too fucking right. LO is fantastic and has a far more mature and engrossing plot than the last FIVE numbered FF titles .. and I'm not even talking about the constant spinoffs. The last truly decent title to come from that company was FFX which, coincidentally, was the last game Hironobu made before being forced out of the company he founded.

You've got a 360 so give the game a try. What's the worst that can happen? You play an hour or two and don't like it... so stop. I remember being blown away by the visuals in LO, the game opens with a glorious battle (like the one in the trailer) and then suddenly you're playing, completely seamless. Great stuff.

Sadly there's something wrong with that video, the audio is slowed down a lot in places and it wasn't like that on the original. Probably emulation issues.

Here is an example for an intro that WAS great back then because nobody even knew what anime was and still IS great because of the music:

Intro starts around 2:10 but you definitely don't want to skip ahead.

There are plenty of web-based tools for YT ripping, such as; http://keepvid.com/ or this if you just want to rip audio; http://www.video2mp3.net/

Ah, Bitmap Bros... fucking great guys. I prefer Speedball 2's intro/music over Yenon 2, though:

Thanks again sabin.
Whenever searching for "download video from Youtube" most of results are shitty apps that you have to pay to download an actual video above 240p

You're welcome =) I used to love using Vixxy as well but it doesn't seem anywhere near as good as it once was and it's rife with adverts, so blegh.

So yeaaah, along with the "Best VG Music" this is probably one of my favourite threads on the site ^_^
