wtf is up with them lately, getting around 100-250kb/s on 1080p video's downstream...

How many people do you think are using YouTube right now?
The servers and bandwidth YouTube has are pretty fucking amazing, and you are getting their service for free.

So from 14.5Mb/s around 2 months ago to 100-250Kb/s?!

YouTube servers are SHIT atm for me, that's a fact.
Oh and btw, with your logic EVERYTHING on the net should be slow due to overloaded amount of users.
Blaming slow youtube on the amount of users...  ...

I have been very candid with my opinion of you sausje, and you have been very candid with yours. Both now and in the past. Same thing with sabin. So we all know each others opinion of eachother and it comes as a surprise now when it is uttered? Or is that mere drama? I find it comical that because I shared mine that you now share yours and still find my opinion offensive. So perhaps we are fools all?
I think it is short-sighted to complain about a free service that has first-gen servers and bandwidth. And (garus) the fact that HD works faster could stem from the fact that HD is streamed from separate servers in the cluster and that still all YouTube-broadcasts defaults to SD.

Cant even imagine, the millions of terabytes of videos and the bw required and used constantly lol.

Heh, i do understand that massive amounts of bandwidth and hdd space and servers is needed, but to have a 100-250kb/s upstream only...
Even my own home upstream is 10x-4x better then that

Again, I will avoid to reiterate my initial statement because it is obvious by now.
Imagine a bucket of water, it is quite large, say a 50 liter bucket. Imagine that we poke a hole in it for every user that wants to drink some water. But the holes are of different sizes depending on how fast someone streams from it, so some holes are bigger and some holes are smaller. But for every hole the water trickles out and in the end with thousands of holes the bucket goes empty.
It doesn't matter if you at your home have 1000Gigabit or 10Kbit, if the bucket is empty it matters not how many more times you reload (poke holes), some people need to stop streaming for you to catch up so that the bucket has time to refill.

So you are saying that Google has no money to invest in more servers dedicated per country on a seperate line?
Because overloaded bandwidth and servers are no excuse for a big company like Google to not work properly
