I don't think so. The UI will get some more work anyway, especially minions-wise. The devs mentioned that.

I played about an hour and a half of PoE so my experience with it is by no means exhaustive, but I have to say, the game is pure shit. I wanted to like it - I really did - but after about an hour of that combat, i just couldn't take any more. That, and the skill tree is deceptive as hell. It looks really complex, but in truth its just a bunch of shitty choices leading to the occasional meaningful one. Going to spare myself the continued disappointment and just play D3 and T2.

played all morning and i kinda like it. Its beautiful and its pure hack n slash. It reminds me mostly of titan quest, albeit it could be the setting.
Can't believe this is a f2p game lol.

If the combat put you off that much, I fail to see how you will think any different of D3/TL2.

is an okish game, and if was not d3 launch on 14, i would probably play more.
what makes poe more than okish, is the fact that is free to play.
not a bad online hack and slash game at all.
of course they could improve a lot, but i can see that they have a solid base to build up from.

It's a solid game indeed, but somehow I lost interest after 7-8 hours of play..the game is missing something imo (though I don't even know what, exactly.Probably more variety of enemies/more interesting "story"). Or maybe it's just me, since I'm not a huge fan of the genre .
One thing is for sure, it's one of the best f2p games around, there's no doubt about that

i have a marauder level 38 who just entered the 3rd difficulty ^^.
He's a freaking monster lol (lightning strike, over 500dps, basicly 1 hitting everything lol ... and everything standing close by with furious bolts of lighting ^^
Btw, ita a nice mix of elements of sacred, diablo, tq and others hehe. With enough of its own, to not make it a simple clone.

Truth is, you don't pick classes; rather, the so-called classes are something like professions. Whether you are a marauder or a witch, you can still use the very same spell to the same degree and effect. This means that what "class" you pick is somewhat irrelevant. However, as in all h&s games, ranged/magic-wielding characters are imba and über-powerful in this game as well.
Also, the game gets ridiculously boring after a handful of maps.

Each class starts at a different point in the huge skill tree/galaxy but as you level up you can pretty much determine what path you want to take and what to specialize in.
I like the new class, I think its Shadow. dual wield daggers or claws, there are some really powerful skill gems for that.

Tank very fast hp regen marauder hardcore char is very fun. To tell the truth, most hardcore chars are fun.
And the difference between chars is the starting point in the passive map. After you determine which passives
you want, you check witch char will spend less points to get them all (and how hard will be your early game....
going without dex with a templar to get resolute technique is a pita...)

What they're showcasing, the random/modifiable end game map, is great and ingenious. However, the problem I had with the game when I played the open weekend was that everyone looked the same. This was particularly annoying when playing in a party and getting confused as to who you were.
The dev is presumably at level 60 odd and yet he doesn't looked all too dissimilar to a level 1 character. This might just be a beta thing, a lack of actual modelled content/armour, but the skills he uses too aren't anything visually spectacular. Something that Titan Quest and to some degree Diablo 3 have is the visual (for lack of a better word) campness - sparkles and multicoloured things coming off your character which shows you've levelled up and put effort into getting items and skills and is something that distinguishes you from the pack.

The maps sounds like an expansion on what Torchlight 2 is doing somewhat:
"Once you reach max level new challenges become available, in the form of map scrolls with take you to new randomly created dungeons that also contain boss battles."
http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=28766
I think the whole upgradeable map thing is really neat though.
