It's interesting how CoD actually took a step back in sounds after MW2. It sounds just like MW1/CoD2 again. I guess IW snatched their newly recorded assets during the exodus Smile

Turning it on and off is actually quite derp. It keeps your weapons removed thus giving you a visual advantage.

Lame. Hope they won't use this in MP.

Yep, mah G18 sure sounds exactly like my AEK. But indeed sometimes I do confuse it with the SCAR-L. Which is totally similar to the SPAS12... Rolling Eyes

FFS even weapons in the same class are easy to identify, and I DO have a small earing problem Laughing

The hilarious thing is, Medal of Honor AA (which was released in 2002) had sound effects ten times better than Modern Muffled 3 Laughing

You guys know that that's pretty much the same price you'll get if you buy it from the US store via paypal, right?

Or from the US gamersgate, gamefly, impulse, etc...

Stingers are far from useless right now. Specially if you consider that the last patch introduced a nasty bug where if you're flying, you hear the incoming missile alert sound before the missile has even left the launcher, which of course causes you to waste your flares if you react quickly to the alert sound. Now you have to wait like a second or two and then release your flares.

This is event is exclusive to Battlefield 3 Premium players. You can learn more about Premium here: http://bit.ly/Lw1wWt

Pathetic fuckface premium hungry bitches!

Funny how they say that premium is optional, but in the meanwhile they FORCE it down you with stupid exclusive events.

I had trouble with joining games at first. I realised it was because some of my HDD's were taking too long to spin up (I have no idea why the game needs to read/write to other drives that the game is not installed on). I went into the Advanced Power Settings options and under Hard Disk selected them to never turn off.. Problem solved. It also gets me in game slightly faster now, when a new round starts.

Might help, might not.

I find it more amusing that you somehow feel FORCED to buy it by stupid events Smile

Exclusive events were always part of the deal with premium package. If it's something that means a lot to you, along with uber-exclusive gun camo variants, then the premium is obviously something you might consider buying. If this does not interest you, then there is no problem, the way I see it.
Also, you could always try and play with DICE before - they had announcements on twitter.

In any case, even if this was so terribly important, the mile long server queue that will undoubtedly form might be enough to change one's mind Smile

Well i find it important because they are putting it right in your face all the goddamn time.
Just like they do with F2P games, to make you buy a premium, except here we payed ~€50.- for the damn game and still get stupid advertisement about some shitty premium. (That doesn't even get reduced if you already owned B2K, what i don't get why people didn't stand up against this...)

THAT is why i find it being forced uppon you.

Man, every server I joined today had a plethora of hackers.

PB was kicking someone every second, but those with more sophisticated hacks kept playing, and thanks to their mad hacking skills we won by a ridiculous margin and the enemy couldn't field any air or land vehicles because our hackers were locking on to everything and everyone.

People always bitch about hackers unless they are on their side, because winning is so much more important than a clean and enjoyable game, right? Pfft.
