Man, that was a good show. Little public attention yet imho it was better then Buffy and Angel crap.
The movie did pretty well, so let hope that give it some leverage for that second season.

How can they do that? I thought fox owned the rights for the Tv show? Are they looking to get fox involved or are they involved already? Of course i thought Joss also said that he wouldnt do firefly as a tv series again.

EDIT: O i see, they are trying to get the rights from fox. I doubt that wont happen unless they got alots of money, fox are greedy bastards theyll hold onto that thing for how much time they can. Whats the time left on their rights to it? 10 years?

never know, it could happen. theres always the chance some idiot in the tv industry thinks that just because avengers made a lot of money, that letting whedon do whatever he wants with another franchise would be a certain hit... which wouldnt be the case, given that avengers was going to make a fuckload no matter who directed it...

so yeah, firefly could see another season. probably get cancelled again after only 10 eps though....

not if he went sci-fi with it. If a show has a serious huge cult following, it could come back from the dead. Look at AD and Jericho. AD is coming back and netflix wants to pay to get Jericho back.

But a firefly without wash and a few other key characters since they made it big elsewhere sort of would just be Sad. He should do a reboot or an animated series set in the verse of firefly. \o/ would be cool.

Joss Whedon has no projects after 2012, so it might happen. I doubt it though, there are so many budget issues with Sci-Fi and even with the fanatic cult following the possible turnout is not worth it compared to cheaper shows.

just rewatched the first - err - THE season a few weeks ago
first season of every show is usually weak, but there weren't even any weak episodes in this one
sure, you have to buy into the whole space western setting first, but once you do it's just lovely
i'm really doubtful of anything coming of it
it's been so long Sad
especially with castle doing so well now

Most people who dislike Buffy haven't seen enough of it. Some of Buffy is pretty damn awesome. My favourite episode is "The Body" (Season 5, episode 16). Holy shit, that's one of the best episodes of any series I've seen.

BUffy and Angel are great <3

They should let this one rest. None of the original cast will retyrn, it won't be the same.

Quoted for great justice. Too many people ignored, or slated, Buffy for superficial reasons.. and after only seeing a few episodes at best. The show is fantastic with some truly thought-provoking content, which is exactly what Joss Whedon does.

What do you mean by thought-provoking content?

Anyway will Whedon even have time for anything other than working on the Avengers sequel?

1 and 2 are still amazing.

i've only seen bits of buffy here and there because, well, it had that teen girlpower nonsense feel about it
maybe i'll have to try again at some point
my biggest problem with whedon though is that he wrote alien resurrection
i can't ever forgive that
