You forgot about Rockstar Social Club and GFWL. But, God, the bloatware that we get lately in the name of the social features.... But, i don't want to socializa. Gamers are not big on socializaing while playing. If they want to socialize they play a friggin MMO. But in SP, we just don't care. We want to play the game and enjoy it alone.

Tell that to those Steam monkeys who defend the need to use it even for singleplayer-only games: It's about achievements, the forums, chatting with my friends, all games in one place, too lazy to manualy install/patch... yaddayadda.

Today I'm about to install ME3 for the first time and now I'm a bit confused with these patches and DLCs. DLC Unlocker has just ME3 exe file. But if I patch the game it also replaces that ME3 exe file. But do DLCs stay? Does newest 1.03 patch already include the unlocked DLCs or what?

Pirates are the ones with the more valid and less biased opinions on games, since they haven't invested any money and don't feel the need to justify the purchase. Fuck Yeah

The Reloaded updates include prepatched EXEs and appropriate DLC files. Just dump the contents of the archive into your install folder.

So what?
I don't have legal right to play it either, and it doesn't stop me from playing. Very Happy

Same for complaining. Very Happy

Those damn pirated complaints, ruining fun for legal users... Very Happy

Just finished my 2nd play through with the extended cut. I much enjoyed it. They added what I was missing in the ending, essentially those few extra moments so it isn't all so vague. Quite satisfied, although I wasn't one of the people who hated the ending in the first place.

How I know the DLC is activated in my game?

Not showed anything at first game load, not message, no nothing.

Yeah I wanna know that too.

I just fired up for the first time, I'm on a Mars mission now but I have no idea if DLC is activated.

It only tells you if the DLC isn't authorised, not if it's working. No news is good news and all that.

If you want to test it in-game, just use the coalesced edit to spawn the DLC weapons with a hotkey. You'll know the Prothean DLC is working when you can check your email on the Normandy and get a message about it.

I'm 99% sure that there will never be ME3 content that happens after the ending.

There is a reason why they made that "legend" save, as last point in game where DLCs should be played.

I never cared if Shepard is alive or not, after finishing ME2 I planned on sacrificing my Shepard for the good for the galaxy anyways.
But now I'm gonna choose the Control ending and become an ascended being, thats even better.

They should have made it so that the effectiveness of the Crucible in the Destroy ending is defined by the Crucible War Asset Score:
e.g.
Crucible EMS <300 - Crucible incomplete, Vaporize ending
Crucible EMS 301 - 649 - Crucible is not complex enough, destroys all synthetics
Crucible EMS >=650 - Crucible is most advanced, only destroys Reapers, Geth and EDI survive

And with a total EMS above 7000 it should have been possible to win the new Refuse ending, and the combined fleet expels the Reapers back to dark space, massively delaying the next cycle.

But even if all that would have been included, I'd still choose either Control or Synthesis.
The Reapers are living archives and contain information/culture/dna/technology of ALL the eradicated civilizations that came before.
I could never bring myself to destroy them.

I acknowledge that Synthesis is a desirable evolutionary leap but I prefer to guide the galaxy towards those changes myself (as the new Reaper Consciousness) rather than force it on them so thats why I ultimately chose Control.

I just finished another playthrough with the extended cut installed (i gaved this game one more chance Laughing) and i must say it's less depressing then the first time i finished this game. This time the cutscene(s) made more sense now (they fixed the exploding relays and they show you how your crew members got on the normandy and why it was leaving) and they fixed the EMS issue (lowered it so you get the secret cutscene).

People say the green ending is the best one, they are wrong!
 Spoiler:

Still this game is the worst one i played in the series and wont play it anymore unless a good dlc will be out. I finished it 3 times now and it's way below the playthroughs i had in ME 1 and ME 2

No ending is perfect. Green is squick. Blue is bs. Red is boom boom everywhere but does the job Shepard set out to do.

i went green PURELY because in the first 2 games, bioware actually did a damn good job of making me give a shit about synthetic life, and i just couldnt wipe them all out.

also joker. i couldnt deny him the galaxy's best sex toy.

green is still a bs choice though, forcing change/evolution onto everything in the galaxy when the game was always about choice. best thing to do is do the red option, and then before the ending plays, just turn off the computer and pretend red = blow up reapers and everyone lives and the relays are fine and happy ending.

I don't like green, because it removes possibility of future game in Mass Effect setting. It's sort of "final" ending.

Other two endings do have future that can make new game. They can even lead to same thing.

Red, years later, is same as before, just without Geth (and Reapers Very Happy). Even Citadel is present.

Blue can become same as Red, if ShepAI just leaves galaxy after rebuilding (for example, to battle some far away unknown threat). Only this time Geth will be there, but no Citadel.

Green... well can't make new game with this. It pretty much ruins future of Mass Effect setting, with all characters glowing with green stuff, and being enlightened with knowledge of old civilizations.

I hope they fucking end it with Mass Effect 3....why the fuck would you even want to continue a game into retardation. I have recently played God of War III on the PS3 and when I think of the prequel coming up I would be better of shooting myself in the foot.

This applies 1000 fold on the ME series which is or was a story driven game. It's just retarded that they didn't explain the dark matter anomalies that we're constantly pushing in the first 2 games (Tali recruitment mission in ME2 for example). Making a pre-quel would just bore me to tears while making a sequel is just plain retarded - there is another threat bigger then the reapers....that threat is God...prepare to face him in motal kombat in the new Bullshit Effect 4.

I hope someone capable continues to make games in this universe. The ME universe is too cool to be disragarded with such a shitty ending. Let this trilogy rest and do a prequel or something. I've lost all hope in Bioware though.

The dark energy thing was Karpyshyn's idea. When he left mid-ME2 and they handed over lead writer duties to Walters, that plotline got ditched. Ultimately it probably would have ended up only slightly less retarded than the "synthetics killing organics to prevent synthetics killing organics" schtick.

I did too. A few added scenes and explanations don't really change them Laughing
