Ice Age 4, yesterday with kids.
Not so original, but still very funny: 7/10 for fun and excellent 3D effects, tell you.

Silent House

well I loved it. that Olsen chick was hot, nice breasts and very good acting.
kept me on the edge of my seat the entire running time ~ 88 minutes.
a solid 8/10

The Raid: Redemption

A lot of mindless action, pew pew bang bang, but absolutely shallow, no story, no justification. If you don't care why ANY of that crap happens or if... WELL if you simply do not mind anything and everything you want to see is some bang boom pew pew, then go ahead. Anyone else that would like to have at least a little bit of sense in his action movie, STAY AWAY!

No, I just can't watch movies anymore, that take themselves serious but act as if the viewer is a little stupid baby. I still very much enjoy Crank, Tom yung gong, Shoot em up or other pew pew movies. But the raid isn't of that type.

The Raven - 5/10.

Another complete waste of fantastic material. What is it about Hollywood and Poe/Lovecraft?

There's SO MUCH potential there - and nothing is ever close.

Dagon is probably the best of the lot, and even that is pretty mediocre.

damn. certain people were hyped about raven (and in turn hyped me a bit)... very disappointing to see that its such a poor movie. having second thoughts about even bothering to get it in 720 now.

I didn't bother with 720p.

Yeah, I'd say they're the same type of movie. I'd put From Hell above it, but they're sort of in the same league. It's subjective, naturally, so YMMV.

I didn't think it was that great either. Bad ? No. Great ? No. Alright ? Yes.
Maybe I expected too much, but the action most certainly wasn't non-stop and it wasn't all that spectacular.

the darkest hour 5.5/10

finally watched it... wasnt as bad as i was expecting. yeah its got kinda cheesy dialog, and the film didnt really have much effort put into it, but overall, it was short, inoffensive, and i guess i have a soft spot for these kinds of survival alien invasion type films, especially with that low budget raw independent feel.

not something ill keep, but i didnt hate every moment watching it. ive seen much much worse films.

LOL, dunno why but that made me crack up.

Saw Batman TDKR, I didn't like it as much as the last one but Bane was a good villain and it was still a good movie. 8/10.

The Raven.

Watched it, brushed my teeth, went to bed. Nothing to write home about.

I'm giving it 5/10 and that's only because Guild Wars 2 weekend beta starts tommorow so i'm in a good mood.

The Avengers

5.5/10

Not bad, but character development was nil...Some of the dialog was cheesy even by early 90's comic book standards..
The reason the hulk can control himself, when he finally reveals it, had such a "crap we need a reason..make one up quick!" feel to it.

Loki was dull, boring, and 2 dimensional at best. He seemed more a cliche of the 80's 'preppy guy with a pink sweater around his neck" than an actual demi-god.

Id give it a 4/10 but at least it hinted at a Thanos movie, my favorite series and villain. from 'Infinity Gauntlet" comics.

It's a shame, from the trailers The Raven looked extremely interesting, and turns out that it's nothing special. Will grab it anyway one of these days, I'm still curious. Razz
