I am totally with pirated player , this game doesn't deserv to be bought at all it is so fucking unfinished that i feel sorry for the people who are wasting there money on that crap . Because of the pirate version i definately know i wont buy this game . 2 Of my friend already bought it , and both of them can't run it ( excessive hardware require by the game wich absolutely do not deserve it , there is games with lot better gfx wich need so less config ==> fuck you EA to force peopl to buy new hardware fo a game wich is not that good and wich doesn't deserv it ) .

Does this change with Friendly Fire?
I'm for FF, but against friendly mines. It seriously cripples the engineer class.

That's why friendly mines are marked with distance to them, so you dont drive on em.
The only totaly gay thing is that you can kill teammate too easily with a vehicle/armor. It's like you barely touch him and bam, -6 pts

Makes people a bit more careful though, and for once teamkilling is actually, really punished (when you play on ranked servers particularly).

I have the Battlefield 2 Ston3d release. I heard someone state they could play online fine without a bought cd-key. But when I use a keygen and try it does not authorize my cd-key. Could someone please tell me how it is possible or if it is possible at all to play with a keygen key? Or do I truly just need to buy this? I wished to at least play it online and see if i encounter the many horrendous bugs most are experiencing before I bought it. :/

keygen keys dont work online anymore. You can try cracked server tho (i find they actually load faster than regular servers, wtf?). Peace,

haha, thats a first, a patch that doesnt fix anything, it just makes things worse. man what a bug infested pile of dung ea has released. glad i didnt waste any money on this sorry excuse for a game. by the time all the bugs are worked out, itll be way outdated and ppl will be playing something else. with all the money dice made on bf1942 youd think they be able to make a decent game to follow up on its sucess. guess not tho.

well ive been playing this game alot lately and all the bugs you guys are talking about are not happening to everyone... i had the patch installed then i wasnt able to play on EA OFFICIAL servers cause it wasnt updated so i de-installed the patch and now im back for more.
To me, EA OFFICIAL servers (EC - east coast) are very stables and pretty fast (have like 20-30 ping).
I was about to throw my keyboard away when I was jet crashing cause of the 'lag' but then I changed textures from HIGH to MEDIUM and no AA and the game runs very fine (i only have a 2.4 mhz but a good video card, 6800GT). I'm ok with that, I dont have the latest hardware so I understand that others might have paid big bucks so they can play that game with higher details. Thats something I've always said : STOP MAKING GAMES THAT RUNS WITH FULL DETAILS ON LAST YEAR HARDWARE!!! If you cant afford the latest computer, then play the game with lower settings but dont blame the game!
I guess you guys may need to test and try diff. configs until you find something that will fit your system
One thing tho, like someone said : STOP FUCKING PUNISHING YOUR TEAMMATES dammit, its a team game and you aint making any friends this way. If im bombing an area with a jet and I get 6 kills and 1 teamkill, you deserved to die, anyway you would have unless you are fucking jacky rambo chang.
USE THE PUNISH THING ONLY WHEN THERE WAS NO REASON TO GET KILLED, LIKE ITS ON PURPOSE. AGAIN ITS A TEAM GAME AND NO ONE WINS ANYTHING WHEN SOMEONE IS PUNISHED.

The hell you talking about, patches are released for games all the time which make shit worse - look @ world war 2 online, utter crap.

Well , You can still play on retail servers look for games that have 0 ping
(This won't work on ranked servers I think..) But it seems that it skips the CDkey check if you join a 0 ping server. Ive joined lots of these servers without any problems so far.

Well , You can still play on retail servers look for games that have 0 ping

Um just a bit ago I clicked to "play online" and the game loaded up and took me to a server automatically,it did not give me a CD-Key error. It took me to a server named "EA U.S. official EC42a" with a ping of 42. I was afraid so i jumped right off even though it let me ingame on that server. Are they trying to catch people with non legit copies? Will EA bother me? Find and sue me I mean. Ugh,I mean i just want to check the darn game out before I buy it. Or is it perfectly fine that it allowed me to connect to this server? I do not understand how it automatically took me there,because afterward i tried joining other servers and it gave me the cd-key in use error again. Please tell me. :/

NHA man no problems whatsoever, since EA servers aint patched, you can go on their servers and play with VTL keys! I did that since I had the game, once the patch came out I bought it cause I still wanted to play on EA servers (other servers are just a pain ie: hey let me be commander or else.... im an admin, or i was beeing kicked when pwing peoples with the jet) so buying the game was not something i really needed but sooner or later theyre going to be patched i guess so I will have it anyway. But like I said, I have played like 20 hours on official servers with VTL keys no probs at all.

to make it short:
if your game aint patched, you can play with VTL keys on any unpatched servers (official ones included).
if your game is patched, you can play only on patched AND cracked servers. So my advice is de-install the game, reinstall it, dont patch it and play on EA servers, until they get patched. The only real small downside is their servers are rebooted at 3:00am every day....
