Wondered why there wasn't even mention of Valve. Then read this
"We went through each company's financial earnings reports and took the net revenues each reported for its most recently completed fiscal year, then ranked them accordingly"
Explains it.

It seems to be mixing net revenue with company worth.

Well Namco alone might be worth a lot less, but they're paired with Bandai.. one of the world's biggest toy manufacturers, not to mention being an American distributor of manga/anime, so that would bump their worth up a bit.

No it doesn't make any sense. Their company, a publishing house AND developer, is only worth $36m? Yeah, right... no, it doesn't make any sense.

dont argue, seriously. gaming market in poland isnt so big, sales are low, piracy is high etc, reality is a little bit different here, and lets be honest - as a developer they only have witcher 2 which didnt sold like X milions copies.

Calm sabin, don't let us pull different matters into this.
This chart is big bullcrap though. Most of those estimates are always bullcrap. Some year ago Zynga was rated at 10 billion so what happened? Their balloon just popped.
Same will happen to others. As long as cdproject is able to pay it's workers and continue developing quality software they will grow. And who says that a good company HAS to be worth billions?

Yeah, funny that they didn't add apple to that list... It's not like they don't any money from their appstore and hardware. Actually they have one of the most successful gaming hardware ever.. Even if it's just called a "phone" or "tablet".

Some of these companies have so much income it's hard to wrap your head around. I do wonder why Apple wasn't on the list though, aren't publicly listed companies obliged to divulge their income?

I don't know a lot but, as it has been pointed out several times now, the chart is about reported net income from the previous year. So, please, explain how it "makes sense" that CDP is only worth a total of $36m, despite that figure being the earnings of just one year?

They're a private company, so don't have to publically release their earnings. No publically released earnings, nothing to use to place them.
Would be helpful they put that, rather than people having to work it out, or being confused by their exclusion.

A lot of people like to pay for free flash games and call themselves gamers.

Apple is not a publisher in the gaming industry afaik. They only produce overpriced lifestyle gadgets and a mediocre OS.

Don't forget all those microtransactions in those lame-ass Facebook games. You wouldn't believe how much money people dump into stuff like that.. it's creepy!

Opinions on the company aside, they control a multi-billion dollar industry via the App Store. That certainly makes them a big player in my eyes, lol.

I've never seen any financials on Valve. They gotta be worth up in the billions though. They let a lot of data roll, such as number of players and such, but never their financial details. They know they doing it right, making all the monies with the Good Love.
