I guess they're doing this to get some more feedback on what to change in Borderlands 2. I hope it's that and they're not just lying about what they said about making it better on PC.

You don't need any of these programs, just create a Gamespy account and you are ready to play.

just make sure to get the Game of the year edition.

you can play online with pirated version, but only with people who have same version (pirated or not) and GOTY is the last one everyone uses (it seems)

I'll play with a friend only, we'll have the same version. Screw gamespy, I think we'll try tunngle first.

But will we be able to play the "campaign" properly ?

My. Fucking God.

I'm playing this with a friend and we're having probs (at level 12 now)

Rarer enemies have epic health and we waste all our ammo on them for a fucking long time, especially on "badass" variants. Where the FUCK are the better guns ? SHHIIIITTTT. We have the same guns for 4 levels now.

Not to mention the spawning. OMFG THE SPAWNING

For a while in thr game the choice of gun is based upon efficiency as much as anything else.

Killing him with which weapon will waste the least amount of ammo. Hmmm.

When you get the hang of it you generally finish a fight with more ammo than you started it with after pick-ups, you do however need to have almost exclusively crits for it to work out like that Smile

You will eventually pick up something with ammo regen but and then you'll be sweet.

If you are having trouble of killing enemy, you need to level up. For example the KNOXX armor DLC thing is impossible if you are below lvl40 or so.

Another thing is you need to use right environmental weapons for correct enemies. That some fire pistol that you got from pretty early works well on all the furry stuff, even though it's fire rate isn't high and clip is small.

Also level up your dudes so that you have the skills that are mutually helpful, you can reset the points on those pole stations (don't remember names). And don't forget to use the special abilities when you can. Oh and don't forget to BUY guns. The deals of the days alter and have some great guns up for craps. Few times friend had to give all his extra weapons to me so that I had enough money to buy a gun but it's worth it.

Did the whole game and DLCs with a friend in co-op and was very fun indeed Smile

I don't know where you are but either farm earlier areas for equipment or locate those metal chests, if you've reached the first large town there's about five or so hidden chests there each with a good chance of giving out decent weapons. Smile
(Depending on player level and such sure but you can still get nice equipment relatively trouble free.)

What is the fucking problem with the level scaling in this game?!
I never played the DLC's yet so I installed all 4 and started with Dr. Ned, on my 1st Playthrough of course.
My character was Lvl 36 after the main game, Dr. Ned. started at Lvl. 35 and scaled up fine until 39, and at the end of the DLC I was almost at Lvl 42.
Then I finished that stupid Underdome and started the next DLC (Knoxx Armory) and it is back to Lvl 35 AGAIN!
Now every quest is trivial in difficulty and I hardly get any XP for killing enemies.
There are dozens of threads about the "dynamic level scaling" in the Gearbox forums but I do not get this shit. Why not fucking just scale to my level and start at e.g. Lvl 40.
Is this ever going to get better now? I read something about the DLC supporting up to Lvl 50 on 1st PT. And what about the Claptrap revolution DLC, is this gonna be the same all over again?
I DONT want to use my 2nd playthrough for all this, all I want is to properly complete the 1st.

First playtrough areas I believe are around 36 - 42 in length, you need second playtrough to get the 50+ levels and best loot.
(Crawmerax or what it was called, good luck farming that thing though, ha ha.)

For the absolutely best gear you need to actually finish the campaign on the second playtrough as that upgrades enemies even further (2.5 mode or what it was named.) thus making the DLC areas also scale to this. Smile

EDIT: Later DLC like Claptrap could perhaps be a bit higher but I guess you'll be overleveled for most of it anyhow aside from maybe the ending areas, I'm uncertain.

I hate it when games force multiple playthroughs on you like that.
What is there left thats interesting? Better loot? This may motivate some people, but definitely not me.
I will have seen the environments, quests and story in a single playthrough I'm not going through any of this again.

Yeah I got midway through the first playthrough and then I used a save editor (I think "WillowTree" is the best alternative now.) to set up a new character for the second mode to about the same as you would normally be and then I continued from there instead.

I have problems doing multiple playtroughs of the same game, you've seen most everything the first time through so it gets a bit boring doing it all over again aside from the somewhat better loot and possibly new enemy variants but that's not quite enough in my opinion though I'm not one to grind for stuff so that's probably why. Smile
(You get some really nice gear in that 2.5 mode playthrough however, some of the enemies are pretty neat too but there's not much variety otherwise.)

What a crap system - the Armory never got above level 39, and at the end I was at Lvl 46.
But with all the ridiculous backtracking and long driving sections I was kinda glad it was so easy.
But then I used a trainer to kill that Lvl. 61 Crawmerax dude and suddenly the system broke and all the remaining content (namely the Claptrap DLC) got scaled up to 61 too. So I killed that Crawmerax dude 8 more times to get me up to lvl 60 and took all the best loot and now finally I'll get an adequate challenge in the final DLC.
So much for using that shitty system against itself. Because I checked - without killing the Crawmerax dude the DLC4 wouldve been down at level 35 again. With me at 46 this would've been even easier than DLC03.

Decided to complete two remaining DLCs I haven't played yet - The Secret Armory of General Knoxx and Claptrap's New Robot Revolution. But there is no save within DLCs, upon loading you always teleported back to DLC starting location Shocked Sad Crying or Very sad

I don't want to force myself to complete each DLC in one setting or grind thru same areas again so will just uninstall the game then Sad

Seriously, Gearbox, that's fucking lame as fuck Mad

The progress you made playing DLC is saved by entering new areas or going through those save posts. There is only one New-U Station in DLC area so that's why you always spawn at the same location. You can continue DLC story but you always start at the same location.

That was one of the annoying problems for me as well for the DLCs. I Googled a bit at the time when I played and the only partial workaround I found were hub maps, basically custom maps filled with teleporters that allowed you to fast travel anywhere.

It's somewhat cheating, but it beats the endless trekking/driving that the DLCs force you to do if you start a new session.

Big list here: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=108800

Either of these 2 should be what you're looking for (I haven't tested these in a long time so I don't know if they still work):

Thanks, crackerbear ! Full DLC Fast Travel HUB looks like something I need. There are seems to be incompatibilities with 1.4.2 patch but with editor only, playing custom maps seems ok.

Will check it out Smile

Now this sounds ingenious! Shocked It's a mod that spawns "Pokeballs" into the game and gives you to captured Skaggs, which you can then call for use in battle against enemies Very Happy
