The game features 3 different endings, which are triggered according to your behavior in the game. “Anna” will provide you different paths, environments and puzzles according to the path you’re walking, providing you 3 different experiences, each one of around 3 hours. This means that exploring “Anna” will take you around 9 hours, or so.

Is this based on Amnesia? I noticed the footsteps are the same and the graphics definitely remind me of it.

That trailer was atrocious though.

As noted in that thread, it's not made by Frictional. They're just funding the game.

Yep, true Smile. They recently stated the reasons behind that:

Quote:
Speaking to Gamasutra, Frictional's Thomas Grip said that while the team initially wanted to create their own Amnesia follow-up, the studio simply didn't have the resources to make a sequel on its own.

"We had the money to do so, but not enough man-power," Grip said. "Expanding the company with that much personnel didn't feel comfortable for us though and thus the idea of collaborating with somebody was born."

Wow, this looks good. I haven't played Amnesia yet, but I will certainly try this one. Even buy it if it's a fair price.

Since it was only about ~8 Euro or so I decided to try it, not a bad attempt at well I'm not really sure if it's a adventure game or a horror game mainly, feels like a mix of both, uses Unigine I think, launcher has some options and then in-game you can disable individual effects should you prefer to do so.

Controls are pretty simple, mouse button 1 and 2 and then movement along with the inventory (i by default) key to progress in the game by examinging, using, picking up and otherwise interacting with stuff.

Tested a few things in the first area of the game and I'm slowly getting the hang of how it works, could be pretty good but I just started with it so it's hard to say this early on how it'll be but it seems promising. Smile
(Also there's not much sound in the game, music is also quite subtle but it works very well and there's almost no voice acting aside from some well I don't really know what it is yet, guess I'll find out later where that voice is coming from.)

Did you play Syndicate 3? That literally hurts my eyes to play. I have to play it in short sessions. Haven't finished it yet as a result heh.

Bloom is optional and can be disabled entirely, I think I mentioned it briefly in my above description of the game that the launcher is a bunch of presets and then you can disable effects individually in-game, it's not really a review and more of a first impressions actually, you can also disabled a number of other effects should you prefer too. Very Happy
(Bloom, Tone Mapping, Noise, some shader based AA effect - I disabled it since I use SMAA instead and I think there were a few others as well.)

You are either weak or the bloom is higher on your version. I admit. The bloom was gargantual but I had no problem playing the game and it was a good game Razz

He's not weak at all, he's completely correct. The bloom in Syndicate was overpowering, didn't you see the screenshots everyone put up? Or were you selectively ignoring them? Wink
